Theme interpretation and application
I used the theme Controlled Generation. In order to navigate the world, you have to create blocks, but they are created in a set order. By removing and adding blocks, you can influence your navigation abilities.

Very nice and polished game, though a bit difficult and slow-paced! I had to look at the video guide in the comments to find the yellow gem, which was definitely a very big brain puzzle. Over the course of a bit more than 2 hours, I managed to find 23 out of 24 coins and 1 out of 2 stars, as well as a smiley room.

The graphics are simple but pleasant, and both the artwork and the soundtrack are a good match for a puzzle game. My only complaints are that the green and teal blocks are a bit too similar, and some sound effects for the player jumping and landing, as well as blocks being created, pushed, and destroyed, would really complete the game.

The movement is nice, though I wish both the player and the blocks were a bit faster. I often found myself using the anti-softlock feature simply to go back to the beginning, since it was faster than running all the way across the map.

Still, I had a lot of fun solving the puzzles, and the game overall feels very complete for a gamejam project. Excellent job!

Amazing puzzle game, which still somehow fits the Metrovania theme. Spent about 3.5 hours playing it, finally got all stars + coins (assume the missing 24th coin is in the fountain), anyway, great execution with the game.

Great job! The idea is very unique, and I enjoyed how you explored it with the level design.

Interesting idea, but it didn’t quite land for me as it didn’t really feel like a metroidvania. Great execution otherwise.

This is a really cool game but it seems way too easy to get yourself softlocked in the game's current state - I regularly had to reset to spawn and it always felt a bit jank.

I did end up kind of giving up after getting the red and green gem - I couldn't find any way to progress after that. The fountain riddle seems like the only accessible lead but I can't make heads or tails of it - the only "pinkish bank" I can think of is the piggy bank, but there's no arrows in that room, and I can't figure out any meaningful way to use the other arrows in a way that "starts from" the bank? I might try coming back to this later as it seems cool, but after a lot of running in circles with no real direction and finding no more leads or clues I just lost interest for now.

Hey, thanks for the feedback! I’m sorry to hear that you were getting softlocked. Out of curiosity, where exactly was that? I’m not sure where it’s possible to get softlocked with only the red and green, so it would be helpful to know so I can fix that. Thanks!

It was mainly before I got the green gem - it's very easy to make your way over to the yellow area towards the left of start with just the red gem, fall down the pit there, and then be unable to get back up as you can't climb infinitely without a second gem.

I think I also got softlocked by getting somehow boxed in on a flag somewhere in that region? I don't remember the details of how that happened though

Ah ok I see what you mean. That’s not a softlock but it is meant to be a later game area so I can see how it would be confusing if you don’t know everything yet. I’ll keep that in mind, thanks!

Very cohesive game, took me a while to figure out some of the puzzles but I think you did a really good job of making a heavily puzzle focused game that still feels like a metroidvania.

This game is very well conceived! I am incredibly bad at puzzle games so I couldn't get very far but it was fun triying!

Ok, a tetrisvania! That's amazing. Very simple but straightforward execution. You had me trying for a while. Great fun!
