Hi there,

I installed the mod for the first time today. I had read everything available about it beforehand. Unfortunately, I'm missing information regarding the likelihood of conception when a Sim gets abducted.

Just yesterday, I was playing a different save file with a young adult Sim and her teenage daughter. I didn't have your mod installed at the time.

The teenage girl got abducted and returned pregnant.

Today, however, I have your mod installed. I started a new save with a female young adult Sim. She was abducted around midnight but didn't get pregnant.

That brings me to my questions: What is the pregnancy rate in your mod? Can teens get pregnant too, just like in the unmodded game?

Hi SimmieMaus,

AR is designed as a Maxis Match mod, with the same likelihood of pregnancy (50/50) as in the vanilla unmodded game. In the vanilla game only male sims age YA or older can get pregnant via alien abduction. If a teen female sim was able to get pregnant before you most likely have one or more other mods installed that is enabling that (EA does not allow/enable teen pregnancy in general). The most likely candidate is MCCC and MCCC's MC Occult module, which partially overrides my alien abduction coding.

If you do have MC Occult installed and enabled, it will let you choose if you want female sims to be pollinated and you can manually set the likelihood of pregnancy there. You may need to ask the Deaderpool support server for the rest.

Oh boy, you’ve really brought up something I hadn't even considered. I have MCCC and the Occult module installed. I checked the settings, and it’s set to "Impregnate Females Only"—which is exactly how I want it. :)

It’s also set up so that teens can get pregnant. In fact, my teen girl got abducted and pregnant on the very same day.

What happens if you enter into a romantic relationship with a female alien? Won't she wipe your memory? She’s certainly already probed me.

Does the `trait_isAlienPollinator` only work for full aliens? I tried assigning it to a hybrid teen once, but nothing happened—even though the trait itself allows for all age groups.

Apologies, Itch.io's spam filter ate your post and it doesn't notify me when that happens - I've added new autonomy tests on memory erase (and also on my new mind wipe interaction) that will prevent aliens and alien hybrids from autonomously memory erasing their friends and family members.

You can still get autonomously memory erased, but its more of a self-defense measure now. It'll trigger if you're an enemy of the alien and have discovered their identity, or if you've made them very, very angry.

If your sim has the trait_isAlienPollinator trait, then the Pollination Technician career should be visible in the career panel when your teen reaches adulthood.
