Cute platformer. I liked the text dialogue, it's very charming. Good job.

Reminds me Level Devil and Opposite Day gameplay, also Flash games vibes.

That's good for a first game. Also, it perfectly fits the limitation.

I'll still give you some ideas of improvements : coyote time, smooth the dash, input buffering, stop movement at death and jump and dash SFX. And mabye more mechanics and better art if you plan to continue working on it.

Also, I wasn't able to get the right sandwitch. Even with the sprint button (that you don't mention anywhere from what I know).

Good luck on your gamedev journey !

THIS WAS FRUSTRATING IN THE BEST WAY, AND ALSO LIKE HOW LEAVING A COMMENT ALL IN CAPS IS FRUSTRATING TOO. HAHHAHAHAHHAHA.

Hi, I want to be honest. I didn't really like this game. I want to say right away that for the first game, especially in 14 days, this is a great result. But I want to give constructive criticism and explain the shortcomings: First, the controls are not very user-friendly. Second, separate the buttons from the text so that they are more visible. Third, I didn't like the fact that water is like ground, and you stand on it for a second, and sometimes you almost touch it and still die. Fourth, sounds are important for a platformer, you should download stock sounds and set them for walking and jumping. Fifth, graphics, I completely understand that you made the game alone, I didn't make such graphics for myself without my artist either, but I'll still say that graphics are important. I might have forgotten something, but that's about it. Again, since this is your first jam and you made the game for yourself, you're doing great. Good luck!

Simple but fun! The controls feel a bit clunky, and the dash fails sometimes, but it’s a very fun little game!

That was fun! Simple but efficient! Like others here, I found the controls to be a bit awkward, not as responsive as I would've like, and maybe it would've been nice to add a bit of coyote time. 🤔

fun little game, but the controls felt a bit clunky, and one thing, next time with the controls try to put them in the level since saldy like noone checks the description before playing a browser game, including me.

Track is spot on!

I appreciate the effort of making your own graphics instead of going the generative route for the jam. Sick beat!

Developer

Anybody who wants to come up with an idea for an ending is welcome to! I will consider adding it to the game!

This game is so purposefully unprofessional and buggy, but it is still funny and keeps you hooked, so I like it.

Developer

Yeah, I tried patching up the bugs but i didnt do a great job |D

Not bad for your first game, though it has quite a few bugs like the lack of Coyote Time and the static menus, but the good thing is that it's short.

P.S.: I went outside the map boundaries XD
