I was invested enough to play through the whole thing if that means anything.
The atmosphere was nice while inside the house, the outside could use some work to make it feel more “real”.
There were a lot of bugs, obviously, but there was only one that really significantly impacted my experience (being able to interact the music sheet multiple times which froze the graphic on screen). There rest were smaller things, like some models not rendering correctly (sink + right nightstand), sprint not working, and the “P to call forensics” text being stuck on screen.
Outside of bugs my biggest issue was just lack of direction. its a common occurrence in amateur horror/adventure projects, but I got to a point where I was just running around the environment looking for anything to interact with that would progress the game, which killed a lot of the tension. Some way to keep pressure on the player or gently nudge them towards their goal would go a long way.
Random ideas: have the “monster” close off rooms that are no longer relevant to progression, direct the player by narrowing down where they can look. or even simpler, give the keys a more reflective material so they can be easily spotted while the player scans with the flash light.
Not too bad for a first finished project, but still could use some work.
Thanks For the Feedback and CC
the Sprint button, I made it that it only triggers at a particular event,
About the lack of direction issues, the difficulty settings was set to hard on default, but can be changed to easy for directions.
I really do appreciate your feedback
My Greatest mistake was not making things clear, and for the sudden freezes I guess it's because I didn't set the variable in the blueprints, since it worked on the editor viewport, I thought it'd be fine which it definitely wasn't. because I was in a rush for the jam I didn't have any testers for it.
I will keep improving on it, and I hope you play my next work.
And Again
Thanks for playing my game.
hello, I would really love for you to try out my new game here is the link Delirium by Haz4rd or you can check my profile for it. thank you
not sure if I am bling. Really tried twice restarting and couldnt progress past finding the body.
The style is sick tho. Brightness was too bright and I couldnt change it in settings.
What exactly happened there, and about the brightness, I rushed the game that I totally forgot about the brightness system. sorry about that.
I seem to be completely unable to open this file. I tried extracting but windows claims I don't have access to it and when trying to run the .exe, a virus warning pops up.
did you extract the file correctly? this is the first time I'm hearing of this issues. can you explain further.
I'm starting to believe it might be something with my pc since it has done it for several other games. Windows sometimes just doesn't allow me to play downloaded games it seems, not sure why.
This is one of my first completed projects, still a beginner though. this took me a while to make, experience so many bugs I almost quit. but yeah, I tried my best and I hope you guys will like it.
