This was great! I loved the art, character designs and animations, and the music and sound design were also great!
Overall, it feels very polished and fun to play, although it would be nice to have a way to keep track of customer's preferences in the game as it was a bit hard to remember what they liked when preparing the drinks.
Well done, I'm impressed with how good the quality of this game is considering it was made in only 2 weeks!
Thenk you so much for your kind words!!! The customers sometimes lie, sometimes not :)) That's the "Instructions are a lie" part in our game (as well as The Boss' introduction). Basically, you'd better not remember what they said!
This super polished and well made!! Loving the art style and overall feel of the game :)
Somehow i kept accidentally making sandwiches lol
I find out the drink recipes i kinda just spammed the ingredients until i unlocked it, not sure if that was the intended way. At first I was also unsure how to see the customers but maybe im just blind!
Overall, a super creative and fun game!
There's no single way to play a game!! Well done mate! And thank you so much for your kind words <333 really appreciated
OMG THE ART IS GLORIOUS! incredible entry yall
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE KIND WORDS!!!! <333
We got Beelze Pub before Car Stealer 6. That's awesome, great game!
HAHAHAHAHAHAH thank youu!!!
LOL this is best comment ive seen on the submission pages
it really is hahahahaah
Really fun game, very chill and very nice art! It was fun to mix the drinks, though I got confused how to get to the customers for a few minutes xD Very good job!!
Thank you so much for your kind words!!!!! <3333
Very good game the art style has a great charm, but I felt the mechanics were hard to understand
Ohhh thank you!!!! Yes, we need a better tutorial... We will do better in the next!
Very beautiful game! You guys got that “look” totally worked out, very nice to see, love the game!
Thank you so much guys!!!! We tried our best :))
Great art! Love a lot of the little animations.
Music is fun too. I like the sounds when mixing drinks, but the sounds when hovering over the customers sounds a bit monotonous after a while. I would also like to have had sounds when buttons are pressed etc.
On the gameplay side, I found the game hard to understand at first. The wall of text tutorial is not ideal for sure, but I understand sometimes it's the only option you get for the time limitations of a game jam. Still, during gameplay, there were a lot of unexplained things like the cocktails recipes and the shop. For someone like me who's not super into mixing drinks, it's hard to understand what each ingredients affect what part of the drink. It assumes that knowledge on the players somewhat and I think that hurt the game enjoyment. Also we can't see the customer's preferences during the mixing phase so we can try our best to match it. Requiring the players to have to memorize it between days feel a bit off.
Overall it still has a great deal of polishes for sure. Very impressive for a game jam entry. Well done :D
Thank you for the thorough feedback!! With more time, we would have done a better ingame tutorial and improved the sound design for sure (our sound designer had the busiest week of the year, apart from working with us). The idea behind not knowing what customers like comes from the limitation of the gamejam, which is "instructions are a lie" :)
Ah the limitation part went over my head.
Great game! It has a really polished aesthetic and a solid gameplay loop between the three phases.
I liked the deduction aspect of figuring out what the customers would like, which is similar to my team's ice cream game. Regarding the limitation—other than just doing the opposite of what the boss said—I actually forgot about it as I was playing. It became more about deduction and guessing, but that seems common with this jam's limitation.
I found the pacing a bit slow during the section where you give drinks to the customers. I wanted to be able to give drinks to all three of them at once and then click on them to get feedback or hear their responses. As it stands, I had to go down the line and wait for each of them to take their sips.
The individual word typing, telling you what was in the drinks you had made, was sometimes a little slow when I just wanted a reminder of what the first drink I made was. "Okay, yeah, let's not make another sweet one," or something -- I guess the more I play, I'll start remembering the associations between the ingredients and what they provide to the drinks.
I liked the dialogue part at the end of the day and wanted a bit more.
Overall, it's really polished and nicely done.
Thank you so much for the feedback!! We did our best :)
Best looking game in this jam for sure! And a very chill and enjoyable loop. Amazing job!
Ohhh that's so sweet to hear!! Thank you so muchhhh <33 There are many other incredible games in this jam as well :))
That's incredible to think it was made in 2 weeks, you guys worked like beasts! The art is insanely pretty, I loved discovering all the cocktail! gg!
Ohhhh those are some kind words!!!! Thank youuuuu <3333 Our team is really incredible (im the team lead and programmer and they all are AMAZING to work with and their quality). Did you really discover all 7 recipes???
I did, they were so pretty! every time I was like "oooouh ❤️" I helped myself with the recipe book, and did investigation work to figure them out in an efficient manner 😎 ("there are 7 recipes and 6 alcohols but wait... the sandwich stole me one alcohol, so the alcohol in sandwich might not count as used................. 🤔") I really wanted to see all the pretty assets 🙏 Also the writing made me laugh, when the boss told "curious, this game came out" I was like "eh, curious that you are aware of that 😏" And I was so right! 😎
It's SO comforting to see that people actually play the game and try to unravel everything!!!! We did our best for the dialogues :))
How could you doubt people actually playing such a high quality entry! XD But I get that fear, when you put your heart in your project, you want people to experience every nook of it, especially when you are proud of your team's work (last comfy spring jam I was so crushed to see people not getting to the end of the game, when our writer crafted such a good ending for it, you know) (I'm like you, I'm the programmer/artiste, and I was the one bringing the team together, I can't get over how everybody does such an incredible job, if I could I would work with them for ever, so I relate a lot to what you said xD) ANYWAY GG yall!
Ohhhhh!!! You are so kind man...
This game is honestly so impressive. I think the art is outstanding, the animations are adorable and so smooth and the sound design is super chill.
The gameplay loop is super fun and satisfying. It also has great replay value! What a polished game, definitely one of my faves this jam!
Ohhhh you are so sweet!!!! We really did our best with the given deadline!! Thank you so much <33
insane polish and quality! The serving scene is a little bit slow, but the game is visually appealing enough that it didn't drag down the experience much.
Thank you so much for your kind words!!!!
The polish here is incredible, animations are smooth, and bartending seems fun overall. I wasn't really sure how to progress with the story past that until I dragged the tray to what appears to be the door, shaking behind the drinks.
Hi! Thank you so much for the feedback! Once mixed 4 drinks, you gotta drag the tray to the desk above (it's a "top-down" view; what is above is the serving desk). Then, you can continue the game and talk with customers to unravel their stories!!
There have been many bartending games made for this jam. But Beelze pub
stands out for its lovely visuals and fun storytelling.
Thank you so much for the kind words Mr Time!! Much appreciated!
id love to learn what software you used for the rigging? good polished animations even the subtle sign movements are a nice touch and didnt go unnoticed.
Hi! Thank you so much for the compliment and the notice! Our animator used Spine 2D :)
Very polished, the animations, sound design, art and music come together very well. I do feel like the gameplay could've had a bit more purpose. Right now it doesn't really matter what you do, as long as you pick the right dialog option at the end to get the good ending, but uncovering the stories of the the customers is still very interesting.
Ohhhh thank you for the kind words and the feedback! Our game designer would have appreciated more time to design the mechanics and game itself... We did our best!
Really cool except I wish the gameplay was a little easier to understand.
We tried to explain all the mechanics through the Boss dialogue! However, it's true that an in-game tutorial would have been pretty useful, but we didn't have enough time! Thank you for the feedback!
