The 3D graphics in this game are really good. Took some time to understand what I suppose to do but when I get a hang of it, it is pretty nice seeing the plants grow.

Also FPS is hard and you nailed the feeling. kudos for having the mouse sensitivity setting!

My mutated plants were out of control! The game loop was quite addictive... planting your first plants, watering and feeding them, replanting the seeds... something cozy about it. I found more inclined to plant, re-plant, water and feed rather than sell them. I did sell some for chump change but ended up losing as I did not meet my quota.

Some bugs (not game breaking):

  • FPS took a hit when I really got going and almost filled the room with mutant plants
  • Looking around with mouse did not work on Safari, had to use Chrome. I'm sure a quirkiness of the web build.

Art and music were peak and fit the mood. Overall it was a fun experience and solid jam entry!

One of our early concepts was to do some sort of plant gene-splicing game, so I was very excited when I saw this one! After playing for about 20 minutes, I was starting to get into the groove. I could see some of my plants were different colors (though it was very subtle), and one plant I scanned was worth $.03 (woohoo!), but I tabbed out of the game and lost my mouse capture. I couldn't rotate or interact anymore, even though I could scroll through my tools and move. Bummer. Despite not being able to play anymore, I was enjoying the challenge of getting differnt plants. I might come back to this one after voting is done, cause I'm very curious to see if the fruits eventually change shape or anything.

Also, small bug I noticed: the instructions on the itch page and in the key bind say to use "z" for going back to previous dialog, but the tool tip says to use "y." Both work, but just wanted to point out the inconsistency in case you decide to keep working on this post-jam. Overall, nice job!

The Music was there to appease my conscience from doing these illegal activities! Would crime again

I must have done something wrong, my plants, even fully grown (at least I think they were, it's kinda hard to tell) sold for 0.01 cent... It felt way too hard to get to the $100 so I gave up pretty quickly.

Also, I must ask : why bind the interaction on the right click and leave the left click unused? It makes no sense to me 😅

The art style is cool though, I don't know if you were aiming for that but it gave me "old school 3D" vibes. Watching the plants grow in real time was nice, you really managed to give them that organic feel.

Selling prices for plants are determined by its respective strain. The one you grew was simply not profitable and the idea was to use crossbreeding and mutation to grow a more profitable one. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time in the tutorial to make it more interactive and in-depth to explain this better xD

As for the bindings, it simply felt sufficient as every tool had just one use.

Thanks for playing!

This was a fun time.  Somehow I managed to soft lock the mouse though at some point and couldn't look around anymore hahaha

The mutation/cross breeding mechanic for the plants is a cool addition to a nice farming sim and works well with the theme! I got a bunch of plants planted and I think I started lagging or it was just visually disorienting, but it could've just been the web build.

Really enjoyed the approach to the theme with the crossbreeding mechanics. I also really liked the art - really nice FPS meshes gave it a fun vibe, and really enjoyed how the plant stems would grow randomly, just a really nice touch!

The crossbreeding mechanic was really cool! Don't think I've that one before. Definitely differentiates this from a typical farm simulator
