Too slow for my personal taste but I see you were going for a more dreamy vibe. The music is very good, it evokes some memories, but it stopped playing for me after few minutes, seems it's not looping or some bug.

Thanks for the feedback, it's not the first time I've heard about a problem with music and slow motion, and I'll fix it after the jam is over!

I liked the music and I thought the art worked well even with such a simple style, it was enough to set the mood. The controls could use a little work, I thought you were meant to play with the numpad but I still ended up needing my left hand to press 1.

Developer

hi and thanks for your feedback, yes, I have already heard that the layout is not convenient for everyone, after the end of the jam I will add a keyboard setting to the game.

This game really draws you in with its atmosphere. The art, and especially the music, put me in a rather gloomy mood. I’d say the character should move faster, but his slow speed suits the mood of the game

Developer

thanks for the comment, it also seemed to me that the character is slow, but in fact I think that we need to reduce the size of the location. Thanks for passing through

the intro where you walk around and first die might be cool thematically but it wasn't really fun for the player. worth thinking about!

Developer

hi, I was trying to give the game a hint of the right way, I added more grass to attract the player, but.. It didn't seem to help :(

I like the music and the visuals of this game as also the idea of it. The character moves very slow I guess cause otherwise they would be OP. In general all game's movements could be faster imo. The plant boss was a well made boss fight with different attacks depeneding on the phase you are in. Good work!

Developer

thanks for the walkthrough, I think it was really necessary to reduce the location or make the character faster, but in the next updates of the game I will do better!

This game brought back a buried childhood memory of playing Zeke the Geek! I loved the music, but the guilt of killing that poor man for his fishing pole will haunt me forever. Great job!

Developer

Haha, thanks for playing the game! But unfortunately, it took a sacrifice in the form of a fisherman to pass!

The music was very nice, and I like the theme it was very intriguing! I would love to see this with a better attack mechanic!

Thanks for passing through! I'm glad you liked it. I will update the game after the jam!

Environment and atmosphere was compelling! Was a bit confused the first time around when I got to the plant without getting any items and couldn't attack, but restarted got items and went back and defeated the plant.

Developer

Huh, well, I was trying to figure out how to give a hint of the right way. Thanks for passing through!

Nice work, I like the aesthetic quite a lot, choice of colour and music worked really well.

I wasn't too clear on what was happening but I was able to defeat the plant monster after a bit of wandering around.

I like that the boss felt kinda like a bullet hell enemy where your attacks and aim aren't as important as dodging.

I think having arrow keys for movement and 1 for attacking was a little strange and could use some additional choices like WASD/Spacebar.

Developer

thanks for the feedback, at the end of the jam I thought my controls looked a little weird, but I probably wouldn't have had time to fix it.

You're going for strong vibes here.

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you liked the game!

I really like the music and graphics for the game. It made it feel relaxing with a bit of mystery. I was able to beat the plant boss with the shovel with no major issues. I did notice that the normal music stopped after a little bit, so maybe it needs to be on a loop? Would also love to play it in fullscreen!

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you were interested. Sorry for the problem with the music, but I'm having problems with fullscreen mode because I don't know how it's done, huh

Submitted

I'm sorry, but I didn't fully understand how the game works. I reached what seemed to be a boss fight with a huge plant, but I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do there. Can you attack or interact with it somehow?

The music was good, but it stops looping.

Developer

I'm sorry, for some reason the browser version was cut off, there is a number one under the shovel icon, this is a hint, but due to a breakdown it is visible in the exe version but not visible in the browser version. I'll add a hint to the description of the game. Thanks for the feedback!

I got a bit confused.  got to the plant and I had a shovel, but wasn't sure what to do next.  I wasn't sure if his legs not moving was part of some deeper lore.  Plant get legs and he shouldn't even have legs!  :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!excuse me, for some reason, part of the game is not visible in the browser version, there is a number 1 under the shovel icon, but it also stopped being visible, so you had to press the number one to attack. This is my mistake :)
