Exactly what Lestavol wrote. Plus, the building grid doesn’t always work as it should, and my flowers sometimes ignored a square and overflowed into empty space instead.

Also, since I’m not much of a "Balatro-style" player, I don’t think this game would be for me. But my ratings are high anyway, it’s a well‑thought‑out and interesting piece, even if a bit broken.

Developer

Thanks so much for playing! Yes totally agree, the grid idea is not completely thought out and implemented flawlessly, definitely needs some improvements!

Interesting mechanics. There’s a lot of combos that could be made for the flowers. It does feel satisfying to get a big number.

However, I think it’s missing a lot of the polishes that would truly make this game feels good to play. First of all, with such a information dense game, the UI and text is too small and hard to read. Secondly, I think it would be much more fun for the player if they can see at a glance what abilities trigger what to make it easier to plan around. Thirdly, I think currently there’s just too much clicking around the UI to get to the next thing. Not sure why the customer order couldn’t just automatically show up or the bouquet can just be sold immediately after assembly.

The build grid function is great for hardcore player who really wants to optimize their strategy, but I think for a more streamline and casual experience, it could be omitted and automatically upgrades as the levels go up or at certain money threshold.

Art is ok. Music is fun, could use better sounds as well. I don’t really see the theme and the limitation interpretation though.

Thanks for playing and all of the useful feedback! It means a lot.

UI isnt my strong suit and you raise a lot of good points! The text small,  especially so when you have a large monitor, this  problem stems from when i setup the project in the first place, spent ages trying to fix  later in development but it made things worse so reverted it :/ something to plan ahead for in other games!

I wanted to have multiple orders come in and you pick and chose which ones to complete, some would be "dodgy" orders that require you to place suspicious items within the bouquet(more relating to the theme). Wanted the player to have a choice on not to do those orders, but sadly had to cut it due to running out of time! Made the pixel art of these items which can be seen in the game's itch background :)

I wanted some order rewards to just give you more grid space but settled on the buying grid space instead, but i like your idea, doesnt force the play to juggle their money between flowers and the grid.

Thanks again for playing!

P.S. your game is great :D

Neat idea! I wish I could see the order screen while building a bouquet. I missed the Bouquet Order button with instructions at first, but found it after clicking on everything. Being able to add/remove grids was an interesting concept, but it gave me too much of a sense of open ended-ness if that makes sense. I think I would have enjoyed it more if there was a simpler upgrade system to expand the grid as you progressed - there was just a lot of things to manage all at once. Nice work overall, very cozy theme :)

Seems like a lot of care got put into this one! Really loved doing different combos and getting higher numbers. It does seem like once you fall behind a few orders you can't financially recover haha.

The pixel art is super charming! I did notice a lot of references in the names of the customers so I can tell a lot of care went into it, I did however find the gameplay a bit stressful trying to figure out how to fit all the flowers onto the grid and having to constantly reshape it in order to meet the expected bouquet value of the request, I don't think I ever got the full reward as the one time I managed to meet the value and appeal required I forgot to add one of the flowers they requested.  Overall very well done even if I found it a tad difficult.

Developer

Thank you soo much!Yeah i had a bit of fun with the customer names and descriptions, glad someone noticed :) it can be a bit tricky to get the full reward,  it requires more testing to balance it out thats for sure.

Thanks for playing!

i ended up playing this game for alot longer than i expected. i loved how creative you could get with mixing and matching different flower types. it was very satisfying seeing number go up! i ran out of requests at one point which was sadge but amazing project!

Thanks you playing for that long! That really means a lot :)

I've just updated the game and added 5 more customer orders and I made named the 11th customer Tofu :D

I enjoyed playing it! I got stuck on the nightshade, I couldn't figure out how to place it, I think I missed a lot of the game because of that though.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I've just updated the game and fix the collision for the nighshade to make it a lot easier to place, this was an odd bug as it seems fine in godot but not in the browser.

Along with  a lot more sounds for menus and a little bit more juice for placing flowers. I hope you give the game another try :) Thanks again!

Great gameplay! Collecting the bouquets is super fun! And the game is really engaging to play! I feel like it could use some more effects though.

I really liked this spin on crafting with the flower boquets, It took me a while to figure out how to see the customer orders. Really lovely game!

Developer

Thank you so much!! That took a lot of time and effort to get working, its still a bit buggy tho.

Yes the customer orders are quite small and hidden away, bit of an oversight on my part but glad you took the time to figure it out :)

Thanks again for playing and for the feedback!
