An interesting game. It was refreshing to see a level-up system that wasn't the usual "choose one of three" mechanic. I liked that, much like in gambling, you could take a risk and potentially mutate later, with the chance of getting a better mutation. (The zombies' heads reminded me a little of Cthulhu.)

This entry was so much fun! I really enjoyed being able to play around with when to upgrade/mutate. Also, the art was absolutely fantastic. I really liked that the tables, slot machines, etc. were actual breaks in the path rather than just background that you could walk on. Great job!

The level and visual design in this game is great. Everything feels cohesive and classic while still feeling like this could actually be the layout of a casino. Upgrades felt a little too under powered to me though. Overall a fun Survivor game.

Great idea for letting player choose when to upgrade, a little nice risk-reward trade off. I think it has a potential to become very good if you keep working on that risk-reward level up system!

Also, perfect control feeling and great accessibility feature allowing controller support, However I couldn't get my Stadia Controller to work on your game, unsure why.  (Stadia sometimes doe not work for certain games, not your fault :) )

Also, why casino? Interesting choice! I'd like to know :p

Thank you for your feedback. We chose the casino because we had another idea related to casinos and we decided to take this setting. We thought it would be unusual

I gotta say the casino looks great especially the tables!

It’s almost a classic vampire-survivor-style game. I liked the levelling-up system, where you decide for yourself when to level up. As far as I can tell, the more drops you collect, the better the upgrades you get. The only thing is, I’d like the upgrades themselves to be more significant, or for them to be unlocked more quickly

I really like the approach of upgrading - giving the player the choice to upgrade whenever they want, but the mutation mechanic affecting the type of upgrade is a really cool idea (I haven't really seen that in other games before either). Really cool entry!

Nice job on the entry! I'm a fan of the visual style and the mutation meter. I think giving the player a choice with what mutation would make the upgrades feel a bit more impactful. But overall well done!

I Loved the game i played it so much
but why i can't see the score after game ove

Nice concept! I really like the mutation meter and the logic behind it. You should definitely keep working on that. Well done!

Of course, I didn't read the instructions !! So I ended up filling the bar to the max, thinking it would trigger something, or an event might happen ? but no haha, I had to press R to create a mutation ! That'll teach me to jump right in !

I liked the idea of letting the player fill the bar to a certain level to "gamble" for upgrades, that was a nice touch!

Wow, huge! you could really develop this into something big! Thanks for dropping into the stream and hanging with us! Hope to see your rating and comment for my game ,thanks!

Overall, the game is okay, but after a while, the floor texture can become irritating to the eyes, and the player's firing range is enormous. Mutants sometimes get stuck on cabinets. Ultimately, I didn't notice that I had to manually purchase upgrades.

Good game jam entry! Congrats on your first GWJ and welcome :)
Didn't read the instructions until I had killed 60 mutants and realized I had to upgrade my character manually. Cool take on a game and I really appreciated the tweening of the bars at the bottom, it was satisfying to look at
I like the risk vs reward but it didn't feel great to kill a bunch of mutants and spend currency just to reduce my own stats if I tried to upgrade too early / got unlucky :(

Cool art style and an interesting upgrade mechanic.

I couldn't "feel" the stat boosts as I mutated, and I was hoping for a mutation that increased my attack speed because I found myself kiting enemies until the next attack deployed. Other than that, I like the art direction (I just got back from Vegas so it's still fresh in my mind) and overall a good entry to the jam!

The game plays well, and looks great. The art style might hinder readability a bit, the background might be a tad too heavy. I'm not sure what changed when I triggered the mutation later rather than earlier, I guess the percentages were bigger? Not being able to choose which upgrades you take amongst a limited choice like in a classic survivor-like removes some of the agency the player has, which is already a bit limited in those games.

It is a very good entry, and I could see it being expended to turn into a finished product.

A classic Vampire Survivors-like game, something I very much adore! I think the gameplay loop here is a little repetitive but the game is short and sweet and fits the theme very well. The art and music are also nice. Great first submission for sure!
