Theme Interpretation
The core loop is the mutation itself. Each ADN mutation shard you collect physically rewrites your fighter. You don't level up, you transform. The roguelite is a mutation machine. For the wildcards, there's a ninja turtle samurai/ninja, you can bay different fighter skins with the money you've earned and for the diassemble enemies decompose mid-fight. You're not just defeating them, you're breaking them down for parts

This was quite cool, the combo of swinging your sword and the way the fragments fall off the bosses combine to make it super satisfying.

Couldn't stop playing. I feel so cool slashing enemies with the sword like I am in an actually fight. Having the mouse make the sword movement is very effective. I would love to se emore of this idea. Good work!

This is a very pretty game I love the sword and the visuals! It was a bit hard for me to control the attacks but maybe that's because I didn't have a controller to try it on. Very cool game!

That's fun. I like helicoptering everything

Unbelievably addicting, playing on controller felt really dang good too. It would have been nice to see a couple more enemy varieties (even just one that maybe dashes out of the way could have been cool) - but a really solid game loop overall.

I had lots of fun with this, it feels like a top-down roguelike version of Fruit Ninja or swordfighting in Wii Sports Resort! Very nice visual effects on the hits, and the physics based nature of the sword works really well because you can parry attacks either by blocking them or by hitting them. I took almost exclusively fast hand upgrades so I could just spin it around extremely fast lol. My only problem is that there isn't much variety in upgrades or enemies, and the gameplay started to get repetitive after a while. All in all though, very good game!

The game was really satisfying and addicting. I felt like I was a ninja/jedi the upgrades felt lacking though and the currency felt like it didn't do anything. Other than that, this was really fun and the time stop and hit effects were top notch.

I Loved The Game But It Runs on 15 Fps
and it's a little laggy when i start or cut enemy for the first time i think if you add a loading screen it gonna be better fps

This was one of the most entertaining games in the jam. (Even though it ran at a steady 10 FPS on my PC...) The gameplay is unique and fun.

I made it to level 100 and then stopped.  Overall not bad but it needs the variety in enemy that I saw you speak of in a previous comment. It wasn't super clear what each of the mutations got me and I think some of them were more a hinderance than others once you got a few levels on them. I had a lot of trouble with the controls on multi monitor since the mouse wasn't captured it kept floating out side the window and I'd start to lose the ability to swing my sword. Toward the end the sword wasn't always hitting the enemies. Not really sure what it was but I'd pass over an enemy 5-6 times before I did any damage. I really liked the time dilation and screen shake when I killed an enemy but it started to get a bit much after some time. Neat effect but probably needs to be used more sparingly. Overall I had fun and that's the most important bit. Thanks for the game!

Level 100?! That's amazing, thanks a lot for playing! I hope you get yourself all the skins available with 100 coins :)

I entirely agree with all the feedback. Regarding the mouse focus, I realized I should have done it while recording the gameplay trailer, 30 minutes before the deadline :(

I agree a lot with the enemy variety/amount and probably have more and more varied mutations.
Regarding the no hit issue I need to figure out how I fix it, let me explain with an image: https://imgur.com/a/nqDxtnj

The hitbox for the cuts/damage is at the tip, and that creates a big gap when you have scaled the sword. I have the hitbox at the tip because, in my mind, a perfect cut with the blade is from the center to the tip, but I agree it can feel like a bug. I'll try tweaking the hitbox to be bigger and more rewarding. Appreciate the feedback, and thanks for playing. <3

Really fun game, the effects on the lightsaber were super cool!

Thanks! My weak point has always been art, so I'm glad you like it!! <3

Great entry! Really fun controls, well done minimalist neon art style, and the polygon fracture of the enemies really sells the swordplay.

A couple thoughts/suggestion:

  • The difficulty seems to level off after a few waves. I think it would have been fun to scale it up more over time
  • I found that wiggling your sword constantly was a bit of an OP strategy lol. Maybe a minor stamina cost to sword movement could balance it?

Overall a really fun and stylish entry, you should be proud!

Thanks a lot for playing it!

Regarding the difficulty scaling, I completely agree. I will spend more time introducing more challenging enemies and also balancing the upgrade mutations (they are kind of OP atm)

Regarding wiggling the sword I also agree, there's already the stamina bar that limits the dashing and deflecting, probably sword swings should also burn some mana yes!

Your kind words really mean a lot to keep this up! Thanks ❤️
