Love the game. Like some others here, I felt really dumb until I figured out what to do xD

Was so cool to play your game on stream! Such a genius implementation of the theme and in such a visual and satisfying way! As comments have mentioned and you can see on my limited playthrough, I loved it, but still kindoff didn't fully understand it, yet I was in constant awe :D

The main mechanic of bouncing the shells off the wall is really fun. The first few runs I had no idea what was happening but I had fun just pushing the shell around. Once I figured out how to actually get the gold it was a lot more fun, since I could actually plan the best route.
Having to work around the other player is pretty interesting, but you can get really screwed over. I was robbed of my best run :(

This was a lot of fun, I think you could really push this concept further
Aw no! I'm sorry the enemy stole that from you, that sneaky so-and-so! I will say I'm a person that looooves rng so this was a bit of an experiment with totally randomized enemy AI. I've had a couple of runs where I'll go like 60 rounds (one time 90 rounds) and then the enemy grabs it from under me, which I'm trying to figure out how to balance it better. Thank you for playing and giving your feedback!
This is super creative! I feel dumb because I looked up how punnet squares work for my game but was too confused, and now it's back to haunt me lol. I think for something like this where it's complex, just some feedback on what happened after the fact (eg a text popup saying "turned blue!" or w/e) would have been helpful to start piecing together the rules. Nice job!
I almost figured out what to do. I like bouncing around in the squares, and trying to figure out what square to land in to become a gold turtle. It was a bit tough to know what's the right move though
Very satisfying audio! The controls felt intuitive, and the tutorial was good, I was able to understand the strategy quickly. It's a really cool and creative idea, and overall a very fun experience!
I skipped the tutorial thinking I'd figure it out, but now I'm 22 turns in and Won ? and I'm just in too deep to ask now.
Had fun flicking the Turtle shell around 10/10 would do again
Using Punnett Squares for this theme was a great idea! Got the turtles stuck the same color first time around so I wasn't actually sure what the different squares were doing, but figured it out after a 2nd playthrough. Pretty satisfying game overall!
Thank you so much for playing! Even if you have the turtles the same color if you collide into enough stuff you can generate a mutation to get yourself out of the entire board being the same thing! That's my way of making the mutation inherent to the win condition of the game instead of just a random pick up. I'm glad you had fun and thanks again for spending time on my lil game!
This is a super fun curling game! I feel like curling is such a great game concept yet not a lot video game utilizes it. You did a great job combing curling and genetic mutation them!!
Very cool idea, and very thankful for the gene chart to access throughout playing. I really loved the "plunk" sounds the turtle shells made when bouncing off one another, was very satisfying. At times it was hard to get a good read on when the turtle shell's momentum would come to a stop vs. when the game decided to go on to the next turn, it almost felt too abrupt, but that kept the pace up pretty quick!
Really cool idea and fits really well with the theme, great job!
Thank you for playing and leaving your feedback! It's actually on a set timer so you don't have to wait and watch the turtles crawl to a stop every round and get a feel for the powerup/force as you play, as I thought that would be too boring, but I totally understand the abrupt feeling as well, I can definitely try and play around with the timing to see if I can get it to feel more fluid.
Neat little game. It's quite satisfying to play once you get the gist of it. I like the art style - it's simple but effective. Also, this is another example that feels like it was sensibly scoped, which is something I really need to get better at :D
Cool little game. The mechanic works really well and its fun to play. It be rgeat every time you get a "mutation" to have a special effect on the next move, or colors could have theiw own little thing going. Another thing is that the dnas wouldnt appear for 3-4 rounds and I had to throw turtles for no reason which felt a little bit akward. Great work though!
Thank you for playing and giving your feedback! That's a super interesting idea, maybe the little mutaitons could up the force of the turtles? That would be interest and I might play around with it after the voting period ends. Also I don't remember if I mentioned it in the tutorial and if I did, it likely wasn't explained super well, but when there's no mutations on the board the goal is to cause as many collisions as possible to ensure you're generating a mutation on the next round. So go full power and bounce off of the walls/your enemy. Though I think I may work on there being more feedback to the player when that happens so it's more clear. Thank you again for playing though you've given me a lot of new cool ideas to work on!
An interesting idea. The music and sound design fit the game well, and the artwork is pleasing. It was tricky to work out what was required, but I got the hang of it on the second run and won. My only comment is (I don’t know if this is intentional or not) the turtle’s bounce off the walls doesn’t depend on the angle of impact, it always bounces off the wall at a right angle. It would be cool if the angle of impact were taken into account. That would add a bit of chaos to the playing field. I really enjoyed the game
Thanks for playing and giving your feedback! I think I took advantage of the right-angle bouncing a bit too much when I was debugging the game as it does make it a whole lot easier to control where you end up lol. I definitely think taking the angle into account would make it a more sophisticated game and am interested in implementing it once I get back to working on the game after voting ends!
I had to play a round before things clicked, but once I did I really enjoyed it! This is very original and fits the theme perfectly. I liked the art and sound as well.
Nice work!
Really cool! I wish I knew more about genetics, I think it would help.
I gave you a 5 across the board.
