i spent a rly long time trying to make it on the scoreboard but wasnt able to get past 4.8k >:c rly fun game, i loved how the audio would pitch down when hitting stuff or dying it was super well polished ^^
Hooly mooly what a beautiful color choice! 4.9k is a big one! Big respect to you and thank you sooo much for playing! 🦐
ofc it was a treat <3 greens and blues are my faves outside of pinks c:
Really fun concept! Love the take on the summer theme, and the art is so dang good!
Thank you so much! :)
Really well done, addicting gameplay!
Thank you for playing! 🏖️🦐
Damn I'm bad at this :D But really fun nonetheless, played it a few times!
Thanks for playing it! 🦐
4.5KM TRAVELLED AND NO BEACH IN SIGHT, WHAT ARE THE HUMANS DOING?! Super fun game!
Thank you so much, you almost reached the ocean there! 🦐
Alright... I'll do another run and report back.. you better not be lying......
6km... deceived...
hehe, even closer this time!
Fun game! It's very simple but a pretty polished experience for sure. Would have loved to play it on my preferred browser which is Firefox though XD
I was able to get to 4000m but it's not good enough to get on the leaderboard yet 😭
One thing I would have liked to see improve was more sound effects when playing like for jumping or getting coins or armors. Another change I might have made is that the color of the game is very saturated so it feel straining to my eyes to concentrate on playing the game for a long stretch of time, so I may have wanted to adjust the lighting to make it have more muted colors.
Thank you for playing and giving feedback! Sorry about the Firefox things, but Firefox is simply very behind on technology 😭 We have SFX in place for Coins, Jump, etc. You are the first player who did not have or hear them, so we would really like to find out why. We would appreciate if you could tell us
We are looking forward to resolving this for you 🦐
Ah, I just went back to try the game again and change the SFX slider. Indeed they were sounds, and there were pretty fun too! I suppose the default settings were too quiet so I could only quietly hear a few sounds, so I assumed the game lacked some other sounds. I ended up using Edge to play the game btw.
Thanks for the clarification and we are glad that it ended up working! 🦐
The title music is one of the best things I've listened to. I could listen to it for like hours.. Aaaa, I couldn't make the leaderboard but I got pretty close...
I love the sticker style for the umbrellas and the crabs (or were they lobsters). It fit just right in, I loved that you could customize your shrimp... Insane polish.
Thank you so much, we appreciate you playing! 🦐 William definitely cooked a wonderful track for the main menu 🎶
This is a very polished experience! I loved creating my shrimp despite watching it get stripped. Very fun experience. 3729m was the end score. Good job on this!
Haha thanks so much for playing! :D That's a seriously good distance! 🦐
Can't believe how good this game looks!
Thank you for playing! 🦐
I trusted the umbrellas... It's a very polished game, and I am thoroughly impressed! Amazing job!! ^^
NEVER trust the umbrellas D: haha, thank you so much for playing it! :)
Very cool game with awesome art & satisfying mechanics. Love how the upgrade system functions in this one. I replayed a few times to see my numbers show up in the leaderboard.
We are glad you stayed for some rounds! 🦐
Super impressive!! I really love your game's art style -- the 2D/3D is a fantastic pairing. Gameplay is also top notch on this one. And a whole leaderboard too?? You guys are pros :)
Thank you! We are really happy you enjoyed it 🦐
You’re welcome!! 🦐🙌
i'm 7# of the classement, awesome game, i think that's the best game of the jam
Well played, #7 is really good! Thank you for bringing Shrimpy closer to the ocean 🦐
Real good, solid game loop here. Fun shrimp.
I didn't experience any motion blur, so that was good. I could definitely see myself playing again to try to get a bigger score. I was trying to find the limitation, but I didn't run into anything that felt weird or odd. Maybe I wasn't supposed to get the coins? I don't know, if we played more I guess I'd find out.
Nice submission, really polished. Good stuff.
Thank you for your great feedback! The limitation is here the instruction to reach the ocean what you never will haha
Haha. Ok yeah I guess that works.
Solid game core loop, very polished. It’s crispy and has a lot of sauce, I love Shrimpy!
Thanks, we appreciate you playing! Maybe Shrimpy get home safe 🦐
Wow. Looks great and plays great. Well done!
Thank you very much! 🦐
I loved the game, a very fun idea and incredible work. The gameplay reminded me of when I used to play infinite mobile running games as Subway Surfers when I was a kid, thanks for the memory.
We had a bit of Subway Surfer in mind when making it, glad you liked it! 🦐
Very nice game, looks good, plays well (did not have that motion sickness feeling at all), sounds nice too, well done!
Thank you, we are glad you enjoyed it! 🦐
OH NO! This is a catchy little game nicely done. I agree with the other comment about motion sickness. Being able to scale the game so it moves much slower in the beginning would help I think.
Thank you! Did you experience a lot of motion blur? It increases when played at low framerates to compensate (make sure hardware acceleration is enabled in your browser to make it play games as smoothly as piossible). If the issue was not motion blur, but the pure speed of the super fast Shrimpy, that is unfortunate because we wanted him to become really fast 🦐
It was very clear for me, no blur. I just have trouble with flashing lights and graphics that move quickly, so I wasn't the target audience. I think the track being so curved and such a small area didn't help either.
Thank you for the clarity! 🦐
Very good entry! would've definitely played more, but motion sickness got real super fast. Good job!
Thank you! 🦐 We found that low framerates cause the motion blur to be strong. It might help to try a different Browser or try the native desktop version for your OS.
