I had a lot of fun with this one! Although things could use a little more balancing, this was surprisingly addictive.

Great work, and congrats on completing your first jam!

Well executed game of a familiar concept. Nice job!

"dumb title, had little time left" made me chuckle! I had a lot of fun playing this game. I wish I could have played further, but by the time I hit level 9 my frame rate tanked like crazy. As an artist, I'm super impressed with how good the game looked since everything was code generated. Nice entry!

Developer

Haha thank you! it was the only title I could think of 15mins until submission time. Hearing that compliment from an artist and how your game looks good it means a lot. I kept my assets simple and code generated since I don't know how to draw. Anyways, thanks for playing my game and for the rating!

Oh this is a nice little vampire survivor like, I got abit into this to see how far I could go.

Although I may have broken your game, I got to about the 10 minute mark and picked the agility level up and all of a sudden all my guns were firing at ultra rapid non stop speed. I was pretty much untouchable at that point. I made it to about 20 minutes until I decided nothing was going to stop me no matter how long I stuck around.

Nice work on the entry, especially if this is your first.

Developer

Woaah you were the first player to reach that far, thanks for playing my game and for the rating!
Well during balancing I intended the attack speed to reach that far. What I didn't intend was for you to reach it that fast soo thank you so much for reaching it naturally. If I'll update the game to polish it,, I'll need to take note of that for balance.

I'm blown away that this was your first game jam! I played this game like 5 times in a row, which is extremely rare in game jam. It was very fun and addicting, especially after the speed boost. I would love to play it again when your vision for it has been fully realized! GREAT JOB!

Developer

Hi thank you so much for playing my game! and even enjoying it. It means a lot that someone enjoyed something I made. Joining a game jam for the first time was daunting but I pushed through it. Your comment and rating mean a lot to me so thank you for doing so!

I liked the graphics and the animation/feedback of everything. I can tell what you spent a lot of time developing.

Hi! thank you so much for playing and rating my game. I did take some time improving the feel of the game which worked.

Hi! Congratulations on successfully completing the game for this jam!

I’ve played your game about three times; it was very addictive. Mostly because it reminded me a browser game with similar art style and mechanics from many years ago. But that’s not bad, nostalgia has its own charm

I really liked the concept of your game, the art style, and shooting sounds. All of those aspects were very good

However, there were a couple of things, that made experience a bit awkward:

  • When there are too many enemies on the screen game starts lag as hell, making it very difficult to play. It would be nice to add a limit on the number of enemies on location, especially when it's a web release
  • Regardless of the number of killed enemies, the player’s current level or the time spent in game, the score always stays the same. It's a bit odd, but I assume it’s easily fixed

Even if you didn't have enough time to do everything you wanted, you still did your best and that’s very cool! Good luck with your future projects!

Oh wow, thanks for the detailed review! Really appreciate you playing my first game in a game jam.

For your concerns thank you so much for pointing those out. I just noticed the lagging after playtesting after submission so I noticed late. My guess was it was lagging cuz I didn't make the enemies invisible off screen. I only optimized the bullets and I forgot that the enemies could overwhelm you. For the score that was a placeholder I forgot to implement my bad.

Thank youu so much for playing my game! Good luck with your future projects too!

The game is very basic, but works pretty well in its simplicity. Visual style is minimalistic, but well-refined. (as much of it as there is to refine lol) I think the enemies could feel a bit more threatening, and the upgrades a tad more impactful, but overall a fun little shooter.

Developer

Wow thanks! I did prioritize on the overall feel of the game and for the visuals I couldn't draw soo I programmatically generated the assets. The enemies were kinda unthreatening, the only way to kill you is to overwhelm you so I'll take note of that. Thanks for the review ! it means a lot.
