Really fun & addictive!  Would be really cool to add in a "gravitational push & pull" mechanic into the mix, too.  :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! And also thats a really cool idea!

Of course!  Thanks again for jamming with us!  :D

51!

Pretty neat score chaser you put together here, my only “wish” is maybe a little faster overall speed to both the player and the asteroids to sell the “fast action” theme of it!

Music a bit too loud, next time check that if you can before upload. Other than that, solid entry!

Thanks a lot for the feedback and for the kind words! I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts, it's super helpful for my growth as a developer!

I want whatever this satellite is made up, ’cause it can take a beating!

Good game. If you were to make a post-jam version, power-ups could be a nice addition.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and for the suggestion. Power-ups are actually a great idea. I can totally see how they'd add some variety to the gameplay. I’ll definitely look into adding those if I decide to work on a post-jam version. Really happy you enjoyed the game!

Nicely done! Gives me rhythm game vibes! Did you also make the music?

Developer

Thank you soooo much! And no, music is CC0!

Good game but for some reason my arrow keys on my keyboard did not work so I ended up using the screen UI which I feel  for PC could be moved a bit closer together. I feel like being able to move closer to the earth would be a nice future feature so you could have a final chance to get a lost astroid.

Developer

Thank you for playing and for the honest feedback! I’m really sorry to hear that the arrow keys didn't work for you, that’s definitely something I need to look into and fix. I also agree with your point about the UI layout; I'll definitely look into spacing them better for PC players.

Your idea about being able to move closer to the Earth for a 'last-chance' intercept is brilliant! It would add a lot more depth to the gameplay and make those near misses feel much more intense. I’ll be keeping these points in mind for my next update. Thanks for taking the time to share this!

Great work on your submission! I really like the arpeggios in the background music and the cute pixel art you put together!

If you were to continue this project, I’d love to see the meteors have different speeds (maybe slower for more vertical meteors, and faster for more horizontal meteors) - this would give the player a better chance to react to one popping up on the screen!

Best of luck continuing on your game dev journey!!

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! I’m really glad you enjoyed the music and the art style, that means a lot.

That’s a fantastic suggestion regarding the meteor speeds! I hadn't thought about linking speed to their angle/trajectory, but that makes a lot of sense for balance and reaction time. I'll definitely keep that in mind for future updates or my next project. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts, it's really helpful!
