Wow, this game is super well done! I got to the end and was only disappointed there wasn't more. The concept is simple and elegant, yet there is much to expand on and explore. I could see more interactable objects added in the future to increase complexity, or more intricate room layouts.

One thing I really appreciate is when games have really simple controls, and this game does that extremely well. I also want to highlight the music and sounds. It was really atmospheric and pleasant to listen to.

My one criticism is that it is rather unclear that when you take a portal it isn't guaranteed that the exit portal will take you back to the same portal you entered. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I do see that it probably reduces visual clutter to have as few portals as possible, but it's just something to keep in mind.

Overall, wonderful work that has definite potential to go further than this jam!

Baba... is it you? hahah love the game idea, and you executed polished a lot for a game jam... love it!

Holy moly, such a clever puzzle game. As a fan of Baba Is You, this definitely scratches the itch.

I love the simplicity but also the colour-mixing feature. Super polished, I can totally see this being a commercial game.

Thank you, this means a lot.

it's a very cool idea, and the puzzle is really fun. The art and visuals are really cool. However, I don't think these are exactly mutations, but rather a change in colors... but if you see them as mutations, then no problem. The game is really great and interesting

Thanks! The character you play (Marvin) was experimented on and when you walk through a colour blob, it mutates Marvin into a different version by changing his DNA structure. The pixelart look might not show it properly but the story behind this game features mutations.

This was a nice cozy puzzler, no wonder you got so many ratings! The puzzle designs were great and well thought out; I like the color combinations to unlock the different areas, the graphics and animations were charming, overall solid entry to the jam!

The mark of any good puzzle game is that it takes a simple concept, and makes it work for a decent runtime - which is what you've done here. I really like the 1-bit graphics and the way the tiles shift slightly, which combined with the audio, makes the world feel delightfully strange and alien.

My only criticism is that I'd like the game to have given me an indication of how far through I was - apart from that, this is a very solid entry.

The game feels really great to play.  Great job.

Really clever puzzle concept. The main mechanic with color combinations and portals are great! The aesthetics are also captivating. Well done!

The level design needs a bit of tuning at times because you can easily get traped, not able to backtrack or going anywhere at all. I'm sending you 2 examples I ran into. At the first screenshot: if you miss the arrowed collectable you cant return back and in the second one: you are completely traped xD

Overall, this is a wonderful entry! The level design is already too deep for the time you had so it's really impressive! You should definitely keep working on that gem! Congrats!!

Thanks for the feedback. I suppose I should add a portal back to the beginning again from somewhere so people can run a loop in case they missed it. For the second screenshot, there is actually a way out but it requires toggling yourself neutral and going back and forth between blue and red. This was a quick fix to at least have some option to escape but I see this is too confusing so I will rework the solution.

Thanks again!

This was amazing. An example of a truly good puzzle game. My initial idea for this jam was a puzzle but I struggled to figure out how to make it engaging and not just a walking simulator to different switches for doors etc. This was an amazing execution of a solid puzzle idea along with the visuals and music/sound. Fantastic entry :)

This game is well-made. I have almost nothing to complain about. However, when pressing several keys at once in rapid succession, the character sometimes freezes and movement becomes choppy. It's clear where the author drew inspiration from. :D

Thank you! This is on my list of fixes I’ll apply after the voting is done.

That was an excellent experience - love the puzzle design (smooth onboarding as well) and really creative solutions to find. The animations and overall art direction of the game was also fantastic, feels like a complete package already, really great work!

I wonder if it would go against some of the puzzle solving vibes... but having that colour guide up while playing may be a nice way to help folks quickly figure out what colours are needed to switch etc.. Having the guide there is great, but because it's such a core component of the experience, part of me was wishing I had the option to have it up on screen while playing.

Overall though really enjoyable and one of the more polished entries I've played so far!

Clever game and good interpretation of the theme. I like how it starts easy and gets harder over time. I think I reached a state where I locked myself from being able to complete a level or maybe I was too dumb to figure it out. I just didn't pick up the thing and entered a portal chain and couldn't go back to pick up the thingy. One of the strongest entries from the ones I've seen so far.

Very fun game! Had fun puzzling through it all. Moody sound as well, though a bit quiet. Overall great!

This is awesome! The puzzles all felt pretty natural to do. I had to think about my pathing some, but I never felt stuck. Really satisfying to play.

Very nice game! It's really hard to make a jam game that complete, fun and polished, people (including me) usually underestimate one of the most important aspects of making games for game jams: scope. And I think you managed to set a very good one!

Not very difficult and it feels kinda basic, but overall a fun time

Very good game I really liked the art style and sfx and the puzzles were very good!
