WARNING: I WILL BE DEAD HONEST SO DON'T TAKE THINGS I SAY CLOSE TO HEART. NOTHING IS PERSONAL JUST MY HONEST OPINION SO LETS ALL BE SERIOUS AND RATIONAL.

Leave a link to your game, and I will playtest it to give you some feedback <3
Can't wait to see what all of you cooked up in the past 7 days!
If you are interested in my game and want to playtest it, then here you go: https://popka19.itch.io/space-frenzy
Thank you!

UPDATE: By the way guys, feel free to also review other people's projects in this thread! I think they will respect your feedback :)

ANOTHER UPDATE: Thank you everyone for posting in this thread, But I think I am done reviewing yall! I am sorry if I didn't get to your review, it's just that there were much more posts than I expected at first and I just don't have the time to go over all of them.  Again, thank you for posting your game here! I hope that atleast one of you will get a number 1 so good luck! Don't forget to review and rate the games as of this stage of the gamejam, since otherwise it's just rude. Be honest as well, one of the most crucial aspects I think :)

I'll check out your game too!

Lol, love the edit, you're just the person this world needs. 馃槑

No sarcasm btw, I'm a philosopher at heart. You are the optimal human based on that right there.

First of all, I wish the circle in the middle (the one you have to pass through) had more randomness so to speak. Maybe make it suddenly change directions once every interval? Or scale it up and then down? There is a lot of ways you can make the passing through the circle more of a challenge. Otherwise: I really liked your idea and the fact that you actually showed the theme of spin to win! Most of the games that I saw on this gamejam seem to have either never heard of the theme or they just posted whatever the heck they wanted to. The UI buttons moving and stuff are also satisfying 馃敟

Thanks a lot for the play! I liked your game a lot. It was very creative and the music was... *Chef's kiss* Perfect.

A few things I'd note:

  1. The game favors turning rights due to all of the asteroids spinning left.
  2. Maybe change the perspective, sometimes it's hard to tell how far / close something is to your face.
  3. Add some aliens hunting you down! That'd be so sick if in place of an asteroid as an algorithmic alien ship that actually followed you, and you could trick them by making them crash into an asteroid or something, that'd be so fun!

At the moment I'd give it a good

82 / 100

100 being the absolute best version of the game you made.

0 being a piece of crap.

Tweak those things, and I think you'd have a 100!

Well done! 馃槑

Oh I actually never really noticed the fact that asteroids are all rotating left and never really right! Thank you so much for pointing this out 馃檹

please give as much criticism as possible! https://memez6.itch.io/storage

- UI overlapping (which makes the text unreadable for the most part)

- Too much information thrown at the player

The current state of the game playable, but really difficult to grasp

Also I don't know how to explain this, but the game just doesn't feel like a game for now. I can't pinpoint the exact things, so the only thing that I can say is that it is just not satisfying to play.

Submitted

maybe try the new build, hopefully some of these problems are fixed.

Submitted

Hi, Real good idea !
Will you add an option to mute the game ?
If you want to give our game criticism :)

WOW! You made so many different gamemodes and they are really fun to play 馃榿 Only thing missing is a cool background music and maybe some UI polishing, otherwise super awesome!

Submitted

Thanks a lot ! We couldnt use the 7 days unfortunately, the game need some polishing and balancing :)

You can be sure I'll take a look.

OMG favorite game so far! The style really reminds me of buchshot roulette which I think was what you were going for.
The only thing I would suggest is to make the game feel a little bit faster, like the slow zooming of the camera is just a little bit annoying

Submitted

Thanks for the feedback, and I'm glad you liked it. A button to speed up camera movement is coming!

Submitted

hi, https://aoushi.itch.io/celestial-slime this is ours, would love to hear feedback

The game idea is cool, music is nice, and I see that you were going for this turn-based rpg.
Few things though:
- UI doesn't fit. Some things look realistic and some are pixelated which just looks... bad.
- The game doesn't really follow the theme. Of course there is a wheel that spins and you have to stop it at a specific time to get a specific buff but you can get a lot more creative with the theme than that.

Nice game, but could be better

Hi thanks for playtesting!

THIS GAME IS LIT! How the hell did you do this in a week this is crazy! I really like the puzzle aspect of this game and a creative look on the theme of "spin to win." The game's UI and really everything feels so polished, and the only thing I would suggest is maybe some chill background music.

Submitted

Thank you for taking a look and the kind words

Oh did the music not play for you? There鈥檚 a background music track that should be playing the whole time.

Submitted

Please Andrey I need this

Submitted

Another banger! The cat's movements feel smooth, the UI is satisfying, the story is funny and even interesting (running from IRS lol), and the sounds/music are also well put.

One thing though, I might just have a big skill issue but the obstacle on level 4 is too difficult I think (The one where you have two big red vertical pillars and a water below them). I got through it, but it was with big effort (as I said most likely of my skill issue).

Submitted

Oh wow you really do straight up criticism. Please go ahead with mine. I need a good chew up on where I can improve. Take your time. Thanks in advance.

The idea of the game is cool, and I see what you were going for. However it feels like memorizing the entire list and points of each food is a bit too much for the player. Many things are also not explained, like the honor stat,  the indigestion, and the... hangry cycle? Maybe put the point list for each food somewhere during the game itself so the player can see whether it's worth taking the food or not. A creative look on the game jam's theme though!

Submitted

Thanks for the feedback. What you say have merit. I was really banking on the player playing a few times to deduce what is going on with those numbers as part of a little puzzle. I can see that some may be put off a little with it. Now only time will tell. Thanks so much for playing.

Here is my game, would love to hear your thoughts:

The UI, special effects, sound effects, and music are all so great! The gameloop is also cool and you have a really creative look on the theme of the gamejam. I was also really suprised that your game has voice acting lol
I am not sure what to add or even what to suggest, well put together game! Didn't encounter any issues with it.

Thank you :)

Would be happy if you could give me your oppinion on my little project

The old phone as the spin to win mechanic is actually the most creative thing I saw so far lol. The game's idea, as I said, is really great, but I think the game needs a bit more UI polishing and the text's speed needs to be a bit faster so that unless you are 90 years old you can still keep up. Great game!

Submitted

The game it's not incredible but I'd like an opinion
https://d4m1an.itch.io/lucky-hire

Submitted

An interesting game idea, but I really didn't get how to play it fully. Try adding a little tutorial so the player has an idea of what to do and what to press!

Submitted

I couldn't get the sound effects and music working... but that's how it is. :-(

https://edsjr.itch.io/adulting-spin-cycle

Submitted

Lol delusional optimism - I really like the game's core mechanic: fight something and get a buff/debuff every X seconds. The only things that are missing is maybe some more UI polishing, music, and sounds (Hopefully you can get it working man!). Nice game, but doesn't feel quite ready

Submitted

Thanks, i corrected the sound and the final boss.
I will try yours also.

Submitted

Hey, i want to play your game too for sure! https://rocrac.itch.io/ninth-rotation

Submitted(+1)

This is so freaking creative! I really like this game no sarcasm (I feel so smart playing it even though I am not lol). The UI and the SFX are smooth and satisfying, and the sprites and dialogues are also cute and funny. I think it would be cool to add more symbols later in the game, so that the player TRULY has to think how to rotate everything correctly, and the fact that maybe some npcs have more patience points than others. Awesome and creative game!

Submitted

Thank you very much! Good ideas!

hey, me and my friend tried to make a complete game for the first time, and we did it! maybe too complicated for a week project? wellllllll... but we are so happy of the result and we need as many suggestion as critics as possible
This is not a GAMBLING Game by doggosaurusDevs

Submitted

I like it, however I wish that in the game itself you could do more than just spinnin one wheel - it's gets pretty boring after a while. I would suggest making it so you could atleast make a bet on what you think you will get so it will double your defense/attack if you do get it? I don't really know what to add exactly but just add more interactivity into the game loop itself. Otherwise, nice game! But needs more polishing

Submitted

We tried different ideas because we realized the same during the development. The interaction meant to be used here is to change the items in the wheel before any spin to make the action you want possible, but leaving always something more to increase the multiplier value. We had other idea but we are not too skilled and fast to implement too many things in quickly. Anyway thanks for the review, it just incredible for us that people are experiencing something made by us, we will use the feedback to improve our game design skill and come back stronger <3

Hi there:

Here would be my game, if you are interested: https://chillzombie.itch.io/survive-a-game-jam

I just played your alien survival game, funny, weird.. nice! Well done!

Submitted

This game is interesting, but doesn't really follow the theme. Where is spin to win? That is a problem that I see in a lot of games for this game jam. The UI also feels unpolished which just removes from the experience. What I liked though was how many different systems and stats you had for this little runner game - it's cool and well programmed!

Submitted

thank you, I agree completely on spin theme and ui 馃馃槄

We would love your most honest critic and feedback! https://hubris20k.itch.io/throw-pjotr

Art is amazing, good work on that. But you lost me with the text, either have a way to display the text faster, or speed up the dialogue, otherwise I was waiting for text to keep typing when I was ready for the whole dialoge. Other than that, great work!

Submitted

thank you! @loaf_ie. What do you think about the gameplay loop?
