I had quite fun riding around but I do think, and maybe it is a skill issue but the fights were much too long, at least if the game is to reset you back to the beginning when failing. It would have been very nice if there was some effect when you got hit too because it was easy to miss. Ofc also if the character flipped direction when going to the left.

But otherwise a solid game.

Makes sense, thanks for the feedback!! :)

This was a fun little game!  As soon as I heard the music and saw "fly" in the instructions, I knew it was going to be good :)

The movement was fun.  You go really fast, which means things can really zoom by; I may have missed some things as a result, but it's fun to go fast, so I'm not complaining.  The movement takes some getting used to, but once you have it down, it was very satisfying to combo bounces on the enemies.  The boss fight was a fun addition at the end, too, though nothing too challenging once you have the movement down.

The graphics are nice.  Nothing fancy, but good spritework and everything all fit cohesively.  The music was intense, which I think fit pretty while; hearing the double-kick pattern set in while you're blazing through the level all felt cohesive.

My biggest real critique is that I think the game could really benefit from some feedback (both audio and visual) when you get hit.  Right now I wasn't sure whether I got hit or not without looking up at the health bar, which pulled me out of the game a bit, so to speak.  I think other sound effects would also really help flesh this out, but the biggest thing is the lack of feedback when getting hurt / hurting enemies.

All-in-all, a very nice jam entry.  I really enjoyed it.  Nice work!

I did wish I had more time to polish the user feedback and add sound effects, but I’m glad you enjoyed the game overall. Thanks for the feedback!! :)

Hello fellow dog spinning game developper

That's the seriousness I am looking for !It's edgy as hell and I loved it !

It takes me some times to be used to the control (I died on the boss in the 1rst run in 10 minutes, then I beat on the 2nd run in 3 minutes). The 2 issue with controls were that you have to press space 2 times to fly (and not keeping it the key pushed) and that you've got to have a little bit of left/right momentum to deal damages.

It was difficult to see/predict where you are going at that speed and with  this camera with the dog at the center. I believe you could use those  biscuit to help with the anticipation of jump.

I really liked the rebounce feeling, I could see some level using rebounce on the foes to get to some alternate paht like in a runner.

Cool Boss intro and I really liked the outro sentence !

Nice detail of the bakcwheel when you press j on the ground

It's unfortunate that there are  no sound effect except for the music (which is very serious)

It was a fun little very serious game ! Good job

Those are some good things to consider for improvement and I'm glad you enjoyed the small details. Thanks for the feedback!! :)

Awesome game! Great soundtrack, flipping around and hitting things is fun, it just gets a bit mindless when you're pogo'ing off of a bunch of identical enemies, but the movement is fast and fun so I don't mind that much. The difficulty feels just right on the boss fight. It's a decent difficulty spike compared to the rest, but not too bad.

I think the regular enemy combat could be really fun if you doubled down on being basically invincible during the attack, and then make the spin attack locked behind having momentum. That would give it more risk/reward and incentivize doing cool flips.

I totally see what you’re saying. Thanks for the feedback!! :)

Good game def needs a sequel!

I wish there was some way to turn down the volume in game, so I could hear more of the sick soundtrack.
