This game has a really solid gameplay loop and I really enjoyed the upgrades and escalating difficulty. However I felt as if the pacing could be improved if the earlier rounds were shorter. Enemy variety would also help a lot with spicing up the gameplay. Nonetheless a great entry to the jam!
Thanks for the feedback! Enemy variety is definitely something I'll look at in the future, but I wasn't focusing on that for the jam. Pacing is something that has come up a lot too so thanks for mentioning that as well!
Got to round 10, had a fun time!
Sound effects are great, the goblins had me laughing when I heard them the first time. Very solid visuals as well!
When I first started playing, I honestly had a difficult time understanding how the swing worked. Despite the instructions saying smite is the space/lmb, I was under the impression it was also an attack button. Therefore, I thought the sword swing had an input delay for a minute or so until I understood it was automatically done when facing an enemy. Some clarity on that part in the instructions would go a long way for first impressions!
Once I understood how it worked, I enjoyed the gameplay loop, and the variety of options you have to purchase after each round (loved the fart upgrade)
I felt a little too powerful by the time I got to round 4 or 5, early enough that it felt like it took away the fun I was having in the first few round. Those power ups are too strong! The difficulty ramps up much more by round 9, but I was wanting that intensity by round 5!
Overall, I think this is extremely well made and has such a solid foundation, especially with difficulty tuning. Fantastic job!
Thanks for playing and thanks for you detailed feedback! You've been very helpful! :))
Loved the SFX but wished the difficulty ramped up faster

Very enjoyable little game!
Very cool game! You could probably add some background music, though.
:D
It was definitely on my mind, but unfortunately I'm not musically inclined and didn't want to use any free assets or anything AI generated. Thank you for your feedback. :)
Interesting concept! The controls are quite clunky, and I couldn't spin properly.
