Really loved the implementation of the theme! Loved the quirky fish designs. Overall, a fun game with a very cute artstyle!! Great job, guys!!

I am a sucker for any game that involves fish lol. I love the unique dialogue sounds and quirky animations for Edward and Xie Feng. The different fish designs are really neat too! However, I did run into a couple of bugs. In my first attempt, after I completed fishing and saw the dialogue cutscene, my screen went completely grey. I started over again, and then it went fine. I saw the options to see the shop (which I did) and the casino (which I didn't). But when I returned to the fishing game, my fishing rod was spinning uncontrollably, and my fishing line was shot straight into the sky. Not sure what caused this. As other comments said, some additional audio feedback for when you catch a fish or lose your line would be nice. I think it would be helpful if there were a timer for when you can throw your lure back in after losing it to a crab or scissor fish. Overall, nice job!

This game is really neat and amazing. I love the overall story, visuals and the art style! It was also a nice twist to add the crabs or scissor type fish that cut lines as a penalty which adds to the complexity of the game. It's also a creative and unique approach on the theme. I guess this game needs more juice like a visual or audio feedback when a fish is caught or the line was cut.

This fishing game is enjoyable overall. This is pretty good for the jam! Congratulations!

The art is so fricking clean!! I especially liked when the scribbles in the intro became the title screen, that was really cool!! Edward Fishbag is such a kicker name too,,,,, And the way the game kept bringing me to unexpected places like the casino and the blushing trash can was also really fun, it caught me so off guard hahah. Great presentation overall!

As for the fishing mechanic itself, it reminded me of the Wii gimmick controls a lot of those games had, which also makes it a little bit unpredictable :p . Admittedly, my mouse and mouse mat are not so good for moving in precise circles so it was a bit difficult, but I love fishing minigames though so I still enjoyed it a lot [:

The art was stunning and the game perfectly fit the theme. I think that in between days, you could tween the alpha value so that the fade seamlessly. One other thing I noticed was that the day and time left were kind of hard to see and changing it to a black font color would probably resolve this issue. Overall, a great entry for your first jam!

good game the was the fail screen intended to be grey with no bouttons of anything or was that a bug if not the end didnt feel very conclusive otherwise an amazing game!

Developer

It was intended to have a final dialog line and come back to the main menú but this was our first game jam and we run out of time :,( I will try to fix that and a few other errors. Thx 4 the feedback!!

fun and cute as hell, the animations are super nice.

the fishing reel being close to the screen's border made my curser bump against it in an annoying way but other than that its a nice lil game, ggs.
the trashbin creature is my new best friend.

Developer

Thx for the feedback! The idea was to make the reel be in the middle of the screen and make it fade out in the begining of each day but we forgot to add that. I will try to fix it.
