I love the game, and especially the 2.5D visuals! Also the variety of enemies and bullets which deal more damage to certain enemies. It's a great concept. I would add some kind of description though, so you know what enemies are weak to, or what bullets are good against.
A good improvement would also be some feedback for when you get hit, like a camera shake or similar.
Also a funny thing, you can still shoot and move after dying :)
Anyway, great game, keep it up!
That was great! I love the artstyle and the 2d sprite of the gun moving in 3d! Looks super clean.
Lots of variation too, many enemies and bullets to choose from!
The only thing I'd say is that it was fairly simple to just keep some distance and run circles around the enemies!
Other than that, great game! Well done
Love the visual style of this one! I didn't see much point to using bullet types other than the starting one as it did 40 dmg and all others I got only did 10. It would have been nice to not have to stop momentarily to shoot too.
Pretty fun game but I didn't really see the differences between different bullet types
Turns out we made pretty similar games haha! I loved the art, variety, bullets. Ran into a bug where we could shoot and move after death. Super fun, good work!
Nice pixelart! I really like the character design and the 2.5D layout, I find it really cool when people nail pixel art in 3D environments , it's so pretty. Sometimes I feel like the perspective makes it a bit unclear on where the enemies' hitboxes are, but otherwise this is a really cool game with a really cool loop.
As a recomendation, I would map both the spin of the gun and the selection of the desired bullet to the right click, because you usually want to keep moving around on a survivors-like and having to stop a direction for 1 moment to change the bullet can be really tricky if you are cornered.
i liked the revolver and the different bullets and enemys.. an the monsters are cute c:
What i would take from games like vampire survivors is to spawn the already existing enemys anew if the playing field is that vast. As it is right now, i could almost infinitely just walk away until the timer is up to spam shoot in one direction to win
art style is so cute but the gameplays really boring, pausing after every shot and rolling new bullets takes forever
good game, I like the pixel art ! I just wish there was more variety with enemies since you can run in circle to avoid all of them, but other than that I liked it !
Fun game!! I really like the game mechanic of spinning the revolver for different bullet types! Some criticisms I have are that the balancing on the bullets is a little off and you can pretty much beat the whole game with just one bullet type (although the balancing is completely understandable on a jam game, my game's balancing is off as well) and that the enemies could be a bigger threat to the player (maybe by being faster or even shooting back at them!). Other than that though, I really enjoyed playing! I hope my criticisms aren't too harsh! Well done!!
Not at all! For me, joining a game jam is to find out my capabilities of managing and building a game, so critics are fine. We don't know yet the future of this game, but balancing the game will be the first thing at the next step. We appreciate your time for playing our game and your constructive feedback. Thank you! :)
Amazing art and I love the unique perspective. I wish the different bullets had more variety in how they functioned, splash damage, piercing rounds, etc. but overall a solid time!
Hi there, thank you so much for playing our game! yes, we were intended to add more bullet feature, but yeah it was hard for us to juggle many things with two hands. We don't know for sure the future of this game but we will keep your solid suggestions. Once more, thank you for your time and your amazing feedback! :)
The art style def was cute! The cover is really catchy and I felt happy to find this piece!
It's a fun lil time sinker
I clicked this because of the capsule art and really wanted to play it. Sadly the entire UI glitched, the sound blasted my ears at +30 decibels and I couldn't get it running. Skipped rating because it seems others are not experiencing this.
Maybe you can still look into this why the UI just clips out of screen everywhere? Good hook though!
I absolutely love the art direction for this game, especially the cover art! The variety of bullets that you can use are intriguing as a concept and being able to pick which enemies you want to fight is also an interesting idea! However, I do feel it's a bit difficult to keep track of which bullets do what during gameplay, and I found myself repeatedly checking the store page while in the select screen.
Also, I think it would be very intuitive if the R key was used to both start and stop the barrel's spinning instead of having to press RMB after pressing R. Some more music and sound effects would also be welcome as well.
Otherwise, fantastic work on the Jam!
I never figured out how to switch ammunition, and I think I pressed every key on my keyboard & mouse.
Consider varying the pitch and/or volume on sound effects. It's an easy change that has a big impact on how the game feels.
The pixel art is nice.
