Great visuals and audio as well as the whole dungeon walker settings, though a quick note regarding controls and how gameplay worked would have been great, since the whole time I was only able to understand that we spin when the bar is yellow and the only visible cue of anything happening was enemies dying and the room no. changing which isn't enough Ig.
Though I really love the concept and I am looking forward to this game getting expanded in future.
GREAT WORK!!!!
it is nice cool game, I liked the dungeon idea with slim and skeletons, i wished if I could moved around and hit them and dodge them that would made it much more fun for me...overall good one.
Art was different, in a good way. Music was great. But the gameplay didn't really click with me, there wasn't really anything to do except spam click and hope RNG wins the game for you. Needs some sort of decisions to make.
Is it possible to lose in the game? I liked the art style in general, but it was "difficult" to understand what the gameplay is supposed to be.
Same feedback as everyone else - I wasn't quite sure what was going on, but I was able to win just by spamming space whenever the yellow bar hit max. I'd recommend including a tutorial in the description of the itch.io page, because even though you can't update the game, you can update the page.
The music was a banger - my favorite so far!
Maybe I'm missing something but there doesn't seem to be any decision-making in this game?
I was a little confused with the gameplay and exactly what I was doing, but one thing I can say is that the art was very good. Also the music was fire I loved the 8-bit style of it.
I sorta had no idea what was going on but I did like the art and music despite my utter confusion
I see the vision, and I saw the comment on your page about implementing the shop etc. - I think if the flashing was a bit slower (and/or gradually slowed down), that would communicate what was happening a bit better to the player. But I can see what this could be, making it a sort of deckbuilder as you stack the wheel in your favour by buying extra sword/healing slots or whatever could be a really cool way to take it. :)
Metagame cog 23/125
I really liked the art style but when I was spinning I didn't spin you know what I mean like i didn't know I was attacking until their health bar went down but still great game!
Fun game but the abilities aren't really explained as to what they do they were just symbols. Also, I couldn't really buy anything from the merchant it just took me to the next wave. Love the art style though keep making more games!
Thanks.
The main feedback I got is the lack of knowledge on what is happening, and I do agree with it. If I am to make updates to the game (and I will surely try to) that will be the main thing I want to tackle. As for the merchant, it was supposed to be a thing but I unfortunately had to cut it. If I turn it into a full game, the shop will be among the core features.
The artstyle is what seems to click the most, both artists cooked (and our musician too imho).
Even though the game isn't very interactive, I'm still proud of what the team has achieved for our first attempt at a game jam (and making a "complete" game), and I am eager to make more !
