This game is so fun! It was quite hard to read the starting instructions due to lighting but, it was relativley easy to figure out. I love the SFXs and visuals. Wish there was a way to go back once selecting an item as I mistakingly pressed an item more than once. Would also like a way to trash items. Overall, great game. You should continue improving on this concept.

Thanks for playing! I agree, the game needed some way to dump or exchange items when your inventory becomes clogged.

Felt very similar to buckshot roulette! It was a little hard to understand at first but other than that it was pretty cool. Although I wish the brightness was a bit higher, I had to squint the whole time playing it lol

Really Fun Concept! This has so much potential!!  It did take me a bit to understand what was going on, but that's nothing a short tutorial can't fix. There's quite a bit of potential in the item variety, and it would be so fun to play with friends!

The one thing I will say is that I wish I had a bit more agency as a player. It would be nice to have some base action I could do every turn to impact the state of the game (aside from just using my items). Also, the game would probably benefit from some rng manip (like instead of pure random, a pool of items you pull from that restocks when empty), because I got 8 black lights in a row, LOL.

But maybe an idea to fix both would be:

  • Sell an item you own to gain 1 coin.
  • You can cash in coins for an item of your choosing (items could be different prices)

Also, an item to recolor other people's items to your own would also be fun!

Thanks for playing! I 100% agree the game needed to give the player more agency since there is a little to much reliance on RNG, and despite the item odds system, you have moments where you get all 1 item. It's just unfortunate that it was too late in the jam period to add something like that after we identified it. The game actually does have an item that changes who the knife damages, but if you kept rolling blacklight's you probably never saw it lol. Thanks for the feedback, your game was great too!

Was a little confused at first but made more sense on my second go around, definitely would have benefitted from a tutorial or something. BUT still great, and I really love the artstyle! Good job!

Looks very bankchot rullet inspired! But your idea is still very original and fun to play. I'd love to play your game with more items. And the graphics are fire as well. 5 knives / 5.

idk what you're talking about, I've never heard of that game :) Thanks for playing our game!

Great game, it looks very polished. Took me a bit to understand how to win since I didn't get any knives or stun guns in my initial items but I won on my second attempt.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Definitely would have liked to include a better intro for that exact reason, but glad to hear you still got there eventually.
