Really good and fun game!

I liked how the upgrades felt really rewarding. My suggestion is that the game would really benefit from some more juice, like some particle bursts and some screen shake. Other than that, really solid game, great job!

Really good game ! Thank you for having the options to update the key (I'm on a AZERTY keyboard, and it's really nice to see). Overall I really enjoy playing it and I like the soundtrack it's match very well !

Very well made game!

Pros

  • One of my favourite genres
  • Audio fits very well
  • A lot of various upgrades
  • Various types of monsters
  • Bosses
  • Saving more chances for greater reward (push the odds)
  • Tooltip for saying, what "push the odds" does
  • Camera movement

Cons

  • One minor bug: you can get out of map

My suggestions/improvements

  • Like typical rogue games it needs more content (still for this game jam you did a lot)
  • Make enemies more difficult over time, because I was just oneshotting them with bombs
  • Create upgrade that increases spinning slots
  • I am person that doesn't look how much exp I need for next level, so almost always I didn't save rolling chances (push the odds) for level (passive) upgrades. You can change like this: every 5 or 10 levels you get guaranteed legendary upgrade, otherwise you have chances for common, rare or epic upgrade (with their corresponding chances)

In overall I really liked your game. I hope you will continue to manage it further and release a full game. If you didn't understand something from what I have said, feel free to ask me.

Great name and great theme. I did reach the edge of the map a few times, but other than that I really liked this spin on the theme, and the different synergies that could be created.

i pretty like the concept with a the mafia fish on megabonk inspiration, are they fish ?? ,  anyway, check my game too ( plz )

Love this game it was very fun to play but I found out that background art is not inf so maybe fix it

A Vampire-Survivor game where your weapons are randomized on the go. Very challenging, yet very satisfying when you get those combos, especially the lighting one. Wish there was a death animation and some blood particles for the enemy, that would be even better. Well done!

I really liked the game and the incorporation of the spin machine to unlock upgrades, it was a really cool mechanic! 😊 The only issue I had was that collecting XP was sometimes difficult because I got surrounded by a lot of enemies very early on, so I couldn't pick up all the XP, which slowed down my run. Other than that, I had a great time playing. Great job!

This was really fun! unfortunately skipping all the upgrades to get a mythical rarity level up is way too powerful. You end up spraying hundreds of bullets a second, and at that point what you roll is irrelevant.

But i really liked it anyway!

Very fun game! It reminds me a little of Vampire Survivors, but with gangster fish. 😄😄

I also really liked the slot machine, and overall the music and sound effects are integrated very well.

I love the mechanics and fishies! Wow, I really could play this for a really long time, so thank you for letting me try it out!

More fun than it should be, played longer than I had time for, slept with the fishes.

A really cool survivor-like game! The incorporation of the spinning mechanic works well, and there are tons of different buffs—which is really cool and impressive for a game jam project! Well done!

This was hella fun to play! Loved the slots meets survivor like concept, really has some interesting potential with that

Felt like Luca Brasi in this one. Really cute game, loved the sprites and you added sooo much content!! Thank you for adding a volume slider by the way, didn't know how good this could be.

I am glad you enjoyed it! :000

Fun game, crazy effort adding so many mechanics for a jam game. The fact that the spin decides what effects are applied to the fired bullets was a really fun idea.

A few personal nitpicks, the pickup upgrades were a little too frequent and maybe could've been XP level up upgrades instead, they broke the flow a little too much for my taste. Pickup upgrades could maybe be scarce and provide major buffs or give you 3-5 upgrades at a time.

But, overall solid survivors-like, and kudos for the insane effort you put into the mechanics!

Developer

I appreciate your playthrough and feedback! 100% I agree that reducing the amount of upgrades going forward would help with the flow of the game. Thank you for playing!

I like the bad guys

This is great, an optional side bar that lists all your pick ups by percentage would be good to quickly assess the odds before rerolling. That combined with maybe making manually rerolling take a little longer or slow you down when rolling or something like that would make for a great risk vs reward gameplay loop.

Those are great ideas! Thank you for the feedback and play through  :0
