Fun puzzle game with a solid visual style and music!
I have some nitpicks though:
The collision is janky sometimes. Here I was moving in place and had to first move down to be able to proceed. There were also some gaps it looks like you could go through and it was mildly irritating that you couldn't.
SPOILERS FOR PUZZLES
The first one had a cool meta idea, but my first thought wasn't "How cool" It was "Oh god what timezone is the dev in". It was also like instantly solved what I should do but then I had to spend time outside of the game to figure things out which wasn't very immersive.
It's a good thing you used the date instead of a time but that's still felt like kind of a stretch since the answer is input in the clock.
The 2nd one I really enjoyed and was like oh yes "SUM" the answer is 67+52 = 119...
How is the player supposed to know that the super secret numbers are relevant for THIS puzzle. I thought it was for one later on since there was no indication it was relevant.
Really I had no trouble figuring out the puzzles but still had to look at the hint to answer both :/
(if not playing fullscreen there is at least this visual bug where the numbers go out of the paper.)
The phone was weird to use as well. It did not behave like a rotary phone does... I think it's a missed opportunity for immersion and it made it more finnicky. I'd prefer a normal number input rather than a phone that doesn't work like an actual rotary phone works.
Nonetheless I really enjoyed the vibes/art/music/dialogue and the funny text popups from the plants!
Thanks for the very thorough feedback it helps a lot! In terms of the collision that is 100% my fault I noticed it and then forgot to change it before submitting the game🤦. The super secret numbers thing totally makes sense as well. In terms of having a clock and the rotary phone instead of a calendar and a normal phone those were to try to incorporate the spin theme but I totally see how they do create some issues with the gameplay. Thanks for the feedback again it really helps and I think they are some good lessons for our future games!
The music and atmosphere are both lovely. The game is definitely a tad tedious, but I was never one for scavenger hunts so maybe that is just me.
Good nic elovely! music is wonderfull, awesome pick and loop, fits my 20m of trying to solve puzzles perfectly well <3
one thing tho : time thing was hard coz timezones
Nice work! This was a fun escape room puzzle game. I really liked the radio station mechanic it was a clever idea and added a nice touch to the puzzles.
Love the idea, music is great but I didn't enjoy the puzzles too much, mostly because I'm bad at puzzles. Great submission.
Love how spinning different things feel here. Great use of the theme!
Great game, I liked the music! I did find myself struggling on the puzzles a lot, but I'm also not very good at puzzles lol
Sorry about this. So I take it the first puzzle is to dial the time the jam ends.....what time zone? If the answer to this question is obvious, my bad.
I couldn't dial number higher than 6 so I couldn't get very far
Great job! Love the art style, gameplay, and the music. The 311 hints were really useful as well, keep it up!
I liked the problem solving needed and how you gave hints as well for when I got stuck (lol).
