I like the base mechanics idea a lot, and the characters are cute with a lovely art style! I really liked the painted style of the characters and their designs are very cute.

The funny thing is spinning is not the best way to cut the fields, it's best to just slide back and forth like a loom haha; I'd like if he spun on his own when clicking (or pressing enter like another reply says, but I did it by clicking), then one could have fun zipping around the fields.

I think for the sheer amount of fields, maybe there should be a timer and it's more "get as much wheat as you can in the time limit" sort of game? Or for a slice of the game, adding less fields so players can get to the ending in the time frame would help show everything off.

you should update the description to include the controls. For other people who want to try this game, press E for the dialog, wasd (or equivalent based on your keyboard config) or arrow keys to move, and Enter to cut wheat.
It took me a while to cut all the wheat of just one field but the map is too large, there are too many fields and they are too big, there is no way anyone actually collect all the wheat from all the fields in the map.

Pretty neat effect for the wheat, maybe you could have done grass too next to the trees.
It's too bad that there is no way to actually spin , I think it would have been quite satisfying. Nice play on word for the them though.

And also maybe you could add a mask in a small area around the player, and apply a 2nd shader to make an effect of wheat spreading out around the player

5/5 for the visuals, I hope there weren't other characters that you had to cut out of the game because of the scope reduction (you submitted the game 36min before the deadline so I guess you  really tried to add the most content you could)

The cutting was really good. Glad I read the comments before I played so I knew how to get past the dialogs

You can go many ways with this, but it is promising for sure!

the visuals are really gorgeous! i especially loved the portraits in the intro, and the tree sprites. Wheat cutting was indeed very satisfying, I can really see the potential here! I fully cut the first field I found, thinking it was the only one, but when I saw there were like a dozen more I sadly had to give up :')

As mentioned by others, some short tutorials are always helpful. Also, it was a bit too much text/dialog for my taste at the beginning, but maybe it’s just me and I’m just too lazy to read :D

Otherwise, the wheat cutting mechanism is fun, but I also kind of missed the objective of the game.

I only discovered you had to press use the e button to progress dialogue after deciding to try out my whole keyboard. Some kind of indicator or note would at least for me improve the accesability greatly.
