I once saw John Armadillo, down at the saloon.
When our eyes met, I couldn't help but swoon.
He spit his tobacco into the spitoon.
Which was pretty impressive, from across the room.

Later that evening, under the light of full moon.
John retrieved my purse from a thieving racoon.
Captured my heart with the sharpest harpoon.
John Armadillo, my hero, is more than a cartoon. 

Such a polished game!! I had a really good time with it

I loved the visuals, the concept was super fun, the animations were really well done, and I enjoyed the ending too. I think some extra hit sound effects whenever I attacked or got hit would've made the combat feel even more satisfying :o

I also really liked that getting hit sent me all the way back to the beginning. It had me thinking, "One more try... I can do this..." over and over again lol

AND MY FAVORITE PART WAS THE "JOHN ARMADILLO!!" SHOUT HAHAHA That absolutely got me 10/10 (≧▽≦)

Really fun game! The story and the way it's presented are great, and the pixel art and animations were nice too.

I do wish there were some sound effects during gameplay to make it feel a bit more responsive.

I loved the intro cutscene! It perfectly set up how serious this game would be. Awesome jam submission!

Sleeping through the afternoon after being assigned a serious task had me laughing, that was a great intro! I think some impact sounds and knockback against the enemies would've made the fighting a bit juicier. That was quite the short game, but I enjoyed getting the spoon back. Nice work on this!

Really loved this. Platforming section felt really flowing and smooth, and I feel like there was probably a mix of sonic and crash bandicoot making the influence for this game.

I would maybe add some time limit to fit with the story, or if there was one it wasn’t very obvious. Having things get darker as the game falls closer to night time and the time limit for John Armadillo would have been the icing on the cake.

The poem at the start of the game was great, exceptionally creative. As was the ending cutscene; I assume that video was taken mid-jam as you were refueling :). Overall, a really nice game.
