Excellent work, great job! Super moody atmosphere and very entertaining writing! Like others, I also had some performance issues that meant that, the video played back super laggily (leaving me not 100% on how the game worked), and that made the game itself not register my inputs even when I did time them correctly (leaving me even more confused about how it worked!). But I did the zoom-out trick that another commenter mentioned and managed to beat the game! Very cheeky final cutscene, hahah. Hats off to you!

Thank you for playing :D Really glad you enjoyed it and saw my ending! Its sad you and other people are having trouble with optimisation, I will have to focus on this more next time.

Intro is a bit too long but otherwise very cool concept and I love the atmosphere!

Interesting game. Really liked the atmosphere and the use of the theme in this one, I'm not a big fan of horror but really liked this game. Nice job!

Great job on the artwork and personalities within the game, all comes together to build up a tense atmosphere

Visuals looks so good.  its the first horror theme game i played in this jam.  In 7 days its already look like a completed game.  And i recommend you to add a subtitle because there are some dialogs that i didnt understanded well.  Good work ! ^^

Developer

Thank you for playing! I'm happy you enjoyed it. I totally agree with the dialogue, wish I added subtitle!

Really cool concept!

I think I need a hint to get through the second round, it came to me like 14 times in a row before I posted this, is it scripted to do that?

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Could you explain further sorry? I don't quite understand what you mean

(1 edit)

I mean the first round I was safe, and then the second round I lost and started over.  I just replayed and realized I should have been clicking the gun when the thing lights up, for some reason I was clicking the thing that was lighting up.  That changed it, I didn't realize if you didn't click it you're dead, I thought it was random since I lived through the first round without clicking it.

I just won, hurrah for beating inflation by .2%!

Great visuals and audio. Very, very serious, so totally on-brand.

Intro was a bit long, I didn't follow the story/setup.

Nice work!

Thanks for playing :)

The intro is kinda sick I wouldn't expect an implied cutscene like that with little scenes dotted throughout, nice work! Though the echo effects on the first dialogue made it kind of hard to understand without subtitles and it would be nice if you could skip text dialogue. The web build had a problem when fullscreened where the game would run so slowly that all the audio, including from the tv, would flicker and stutter and everything was 10x slower. It also made it nearly impossible to click the gun at the right time because it was yellow for a singular frame. I did eventually realize a trick where you could zoom the screen out and it would run better. Five out of Five for visuals and seriousness.
