it was quite fun to kick the ball. spin the wheel. i scored many goals. I hope you continue to make games. this was fun. awesome job on the jam theme, it has a cute world cup spin to it! good game. score 106.
I wish the theming of soccer and the chance roulette would've been expanded on more. I'm not really sure what the numbers on the roulette are supposed to represent. There's also no end goal or lose condition, as far as I could tell, so there wasn't much engagement after clicking a few times.
Neat concept! I'll echo the same sentiments from the other comments regarding the nice animations. Since the wheel itself seems to imply the chance your shot makes it in, you could add elements of gambling to the game by adding wagers for yourself or your team as a whole. Maybe more skill could be involved if you knew beforehand certain players were more or less likely to make specific shots (e.g., how/where they'll kick the ball).
Thank you so much for your feedback! I am so happy to get such positive feedback from a very basic game. Yes, the wheel defines how likely is for your shot to score a goal. I had the idea of spinning another wheel to decide which teams play, given that teams have different ratings (Cameroon could shot harder but less precisely, Japan could deliver a softer, but more precise shot...). Although I have many more projects, I'd like to develop this game even more. If I do so, I could add individual ratings to players, which makes the game (much) more interesting.
Very simple, I really liked the running animation!
Thank you so much! During develompent I realized this was going to be a very simple game because of time and exams. After playing other submissions for this Jam, I realized our game was probably among the weakest ones, so I am really happy to find out you liked the animation very much! MartaBatata's effort really paid off. I want to publish the assets used in this game so other people can use (or modify) them, but I want her to do it so she gets the credit. If you have any suggestions to improve this game, they are very wlecome, as I would like to expand it as a personal project.
The concept is clear and the idea is charming. The running animation in particular is really well crafted. Nice work!
Thank you so much! Our early drafts included a wheel that decided the opponents (stronger opponents are tougher to beat) and role switching between scoring and defending. We only managed to make a simple project (we, especially the other two members of the team, were busy with exams) and so your feedback means a lot to us. I thought it was too simple. Every asset was drawn by MartaBatata (I only drew the background) and she draws beautiful animations. Ah, and if I find the time to do it, I might expand this game as a personal project.
Where is the goalkeeper? Maybe behind the spinning wheel?
Congrats on finishing a game jam and submitting the game.
Unity can make Web builds too to host on Itch. This way, people can test your game easier.
Thank you so much for your time! It means a lot for me.
There is no goalkeeper, at least for now. Just stop the wheel at the right time so that your shot has more chances of scoring a goal. (But I would like to continue this game as a personal project.)
It is the first game I export (build) with Unity, so I did not know how could I make a Web build.
