This is a really cool game, did not take long to master and I loved the dialogue at the beginning of each match. One issue I had was not knowing how to spin, I might have missed it if it popped up somewhere. Overall great game though. Well done!
The dynamic intro dialogue was really cool. Actual gameplay is repetitive but also fun. Although there’s some chance involved with the bouncing there is some skill needed to keep the bar filled up. My only issue is that the CPU keeps their bar filled too easily once it’s at the top. It’s hard to out mash at times.
The inclusion of multiple classes and class-specific intro dialogue, akin to a fighting game, is really fun! That being said, I felt confused with what I was supposed to do. I was mostly just mashing the spacebar (which started tiring me out after only a handful of seconds) and hoping I won.
Agreed with other commenters, subbing a mouse wiggle or similar for spacebar mashing would take this to the next level. Great character development, I want to see what's next for these proud, doomed, sharp and/or blunt warriors.
I really wasnt expecting it to be that fun, what I can say is that my space bar will never be the same again. A suggestion I have is to make the spin mechanic be something more related to the player spinning something, like the mouse or the mouse scroll or alternating between two keys so it feels more like spinning instead of spamming one key. I really enjoyed the expericence, great game!
Man, the dagger is way underpowered, it's good you can face off against another dagger or I never would've won with them. It wasn't obvious if spinning was just o make it more likely to hit or whether it actually increased damage as well? Doesn't really feel like you have much influence over the fight if that's the case. That said, there's joy to be had just watching them flail about and I had fun wearing down my spacebar, haha.

Fun game, definitely serious... when you figure out how to actually play lol
I liked the music specially and I think the idea has potential! nice job
I really like the concept and the art style! It took me about 10 minutes to figure out that I needed to press the spacebar to spin. But to beat the enemies, I felt like I was going to break my spacebar! 😂😂 Overall, I had a lot of fun playing!
I really like the concept and the art style! The game has a lot of charm.
The only thing I struggled with was the combat. I wasn't really sure how it worked. I sat there spamming the space bar, and even when my bar was full and the enemy's was almost empty, I still couldn't seem to land a hit most of the time. I'm not sure if I was missing something, but it made the combat a bit confusing for me.
Other than that, I think it's a really cool idea. Nice job!
Cool concept and visual novel elements! Gameplay is a bit shallow and lacks feedback for hitting the enemy vs getting hit. Good luck!
i'm a mallet kinda guy 🔨
fun concept that has room for more mechanics, because it's already filled with personality!
the dialogue is funny and adds some real stakes to the fight.
Really cool! I think my main is Mallet. Great job!
Really cool ideia, at this jam stage is basically a gamble, but if more mechanics are added to the player control, it could be a awesome complete game
neat game!! i enjoyed the dialogue between matches; it added extra flavor to each fight
This is fun. I mean, it's very serious! So, i love the sound design, but the gameplay core is just a clicker. You spin at max and hope for the best. I understand that it was inspired by those videous like sword VS spear, but it would be nice to have more than one mechanic, i think. The job with the art is greath though
