Rolling girl bird...

I don't know if it was intentional, but it is very close to being a rage-inducing game, reminding of good'ol Flappy Bird times.

Also, when you get unlucky, you can spend a lot of time without being able to control the movement, like when you jump like a ball and your wings just happen to not connect with the ground because of your spin frequency. Or maybe it's just a skill issue on my part :D

Developer

Yeah, the movement can be a bit inconsistent, but I wasn't really able to fix that without completely changing how it worked.

This game made me smile. It's very goofy, the menu is an amazing start to the game, I enjoyed that a lot. Trying to control this is kinda rough, but it's very funny. It's a great concept. The art is very charming and cohesive.

Developer

Thanks! I'm so glad you liked it!

Very silly game! I have a soft spot for physics based platformers and love when a game lets me launch myself comically high in the air purely for the love of the game. Definitely got ragebaited though, those enemy placements are evil. Fun game, my only suggestion would be moving the camera out a bit so you can better see where you're gonna land!

Fun game! It reminds me of the old flash games I used to play as a kid so there's a huge nostalgia factor in there for me :]

I shared this with a friend and we both found the momentum-based movement to be an interesting concept  and mechanic. Controlling our very cool looking bird ball guy around the levels was fun (especially seeing us be flung around metres into the air lol) and the idea of enemies forming another method of propelling the player around the levels was innovative too! Although, the difficulty curve from going from the first to the second level is a little big: we felt like adjusting the layout of the levels slightly would have helped with that (like the ramp not providing enough momentum). Despite this, the game is challenging, entertaining, and captures the jam's theme well! Great work :]

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Level 2 and 3 definitely ended up a lot harder than I had intended. Thanks for the feedback!

I don't know what I expected when clicking the "Don't Play" button but I'm glad I clicked it. Might be one of the best menu options I've seen, ever. I think the camera might be a bit too close, sometimes you can't see where you're going to land. The bounce mechanic is a fun concept. I can very easily imagine someone optimizing a speedrun route and bouncing everywhere. Could be a fun game to speedrun.

Developer

I agree that the camera was too close. I was actually planning on adding a speedrun timer to the game originally, but ran out of time.

Neat take on the jumping mechanic, nice work.

I love the art style, gameplay and the funky little bird. Very hard to beat the 2nd level and don't understand what flying was doing but it was fun none the less!

Developer

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! There isn't meant to be any flying, the wings are just there to propel the player off the ground, or hit enemies.

Truly maddening! It's great it has a level selection screen because without it I wouldn't be capable of testing all the 3 (THREE) levels. I'm probably just bad...

Developer(+1)

It ended up being a lot harder than I had intended. I never even beat the last level myself, though I made my siblings play it to make sure it was possible. I hope you enjoyed it!
