I think this was really good! It was an interesting take on the theme and I thought the lil toy was super cute. Would love if you continued this and maybe made each level a bit more colorful, or like the end sequence be colorful? I think it all looks good I just feel like toys are "bright and colorful" so the very grey pallet left me feeling like it was a very sad lil toy. Maybe it is, maybe that's the theme you want idk, I think either way is good, just an idea. Hope you had a fun game jam! <3
This is so cool! Also very Creative Theme use! Great Work!
But: I need more!!
lowkey if it had more content this would be amazing , still is pretty amazing love it
I can see the potential. It needs more content.
Love the concept. The fact that you need to save your movements on platforms and stuff really has a lot of potential. Great submission!
cute!!!! very interesting concept at hand, wish there was more to it tbh I’d love to see it as a fully explored concept theres alot you can do with this idea methinks
Really enjoyed this game! Loved the concept of winding up the toy so it could move, understood the mechanics very quickly. Just wished there was audio and more levels. Hope to see this game expanded upon. Great game!
I plan on expanding it, no timeline for when that might be, but I am glad you enjoyed it! It did feel like a really interesting puzzle mechanic that I feel could be made into a good amount of interesting levels if I had more time to flesh it out more before the deadline. Thank you for playing, and thank you for the feedback!
I love design of the character! It's simple but really cute. Mechanic of the game has so much potentiall as well.
Thank you! I feel like there is a good amount of potential with what I made here too, and I will probably work on it a little bit more after the jam to try and flesh it out more. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
It's a really cute, albeit very short game. I like the art style, the concept is nice, honestly it's only really missing some music and more "levels" and mechanics, but what's there already is nice
Thank you so much! I definitely agree that the game is shorter than I would have liked, but I feel like at the very least I got the foundation I wanted to done. I usually leave sound to last, except for the winding sound which felt important, but I definitely should just make up a library of running sounds or landing sounds I can reuse across projects or something to make that easier.
Nice take on the theme! It could use some kind of visual indicator for how much time you have left before exploding. An explanation/tutorial would also help, as right now it feels a bit like guesswork.
That's definitely fair, the levels were rushed out a little bit, but I added an indicator to hopefully help people connect the winding to the movement, hopefully that gets it across, and I might update the descriptions as well. Thank you for the feedback though and for playing!
very cute game! like the wind up mechanic but its kinda hard to tell how much power you got left
Thank you! I added an indicator in the newest version to address this since the lights in the eyes and the glow of the character can definitely be a little hard to gauge.
Very short, the movement feels very floaty, unfortunately
I increased jump strength, acceleration, and gravity when falling to hopefully address this, I think it feels more in control and precise now, but thank you for playing either way and the feedback!
