Lookit this, the makings of a real incremental game. :D As someone who was working on her own incremental, I loved the cute aesthetic of this. Great jam game!
Damn incremental games [buys upgrade] being shoved into our PCs... [buys upgrade] left and right... uh... [buys another upgrade].
Perfect length for a Jam game btw!
I enjoyed many aspects of this game! The presentation of the story, the progression, the art/design/layout, the excitement to find out what the next tier is. This is a well crafted experience and I appreciate that its tuned to quicker game play.
my oh my ! What an addictive little game !
I have just one note (I thought I had none but I remembered something) :
It's not gameplay related but I found the music loop to be slightly too short maybe ?
Anyways it's a reaaaaaally nice and addicting game. I love it ! The visuals, the music, the sounds, everything is really nice ! Great job :)
thank you for playing and for the feedback! yeah we also felt like that was a weak point. we are new to game dev and don't have a understanding of music very well — do you have any tips to help with this? thank you again (๑・̑◡・̑๑)
well actually, I went back to the game and just listened to the music, I think the loop is long enough, it's just that it's not seamless, so this might be a godot/web/file import issue, what I did in another jam to """"""fix""""" this issue was to litteraly loop the song in a software like audacity and export the project with a big-ass music file that lasts like 10mn ahah
if you still think the loop is too short, I suggest adding music sequences with less instruments at the end/beginning of the loop or to switch up some notes for a little while and go back to the original melody and loop, it's not an easy thing ahah also what you can do is just make multiple songs and shuffle them but within the timeframe of a gamejam, if you're new to music, it might be hard to do !
wow this is really helpful! i really appreciate you taking the time to not only play our game but also with the feedback (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵) will def keep these considerations in mind moving forward. we used royalty free music we found online but definitely feel like composing/sound design is something we should learn as we continue making games!
my pleasure ! music composition is hard because it's a whole different way of expression than programmation or even visual arts, so it's kinda hard when you begin, I've been learning (mostly by practicing, I've learned just a little bit of music theory) for like 2-3 years now and I still can't always do what I set my mind to, for example say I want to make a happy song, I don't always succeed in making something that sounds happy ahah but once you start and if you enjoy it, you'll have a great time and the learning curve is nice ! And then you get to enjoy your own music so that's nice.
For sound effects, I just started like a month and a half ago for our very first game jam and it was really fun, you get to think of everything around you in a different way ! Like, we had a conveyor belt in our first game (mirror mirror) and it was tricky to think of something that would make the sound of that, but I ended up using an old school coffee grinder and it works fine I think lol
those 2 are really different in some ways, even tho there are skills that can be used in both ! I still feel like i'm a beginner so I don't know if those advices are really great but that's what I think ! (Also imposter syndrome is a bitch ahah)
what a charming and lovely portfolio of games you folks have! the conveyor belt in mirror mirror sounds great! excited to see what games come from you all in the future (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)
Great incremental game, I enjoyed it! Especially loved the visuals.
Play by play!
Really cute incremental game! Incredible pixel art, I just wish there was more to click on/engage with in the game as it just becomes a look away for a bit the moment you get the spin on its own upgrade for each stage
I'm sorry 4 days?! This game is perfect in every way. Thank you for the experience!
Thank you for sharing! Nice to see another windmill! <3
I think this is my favorite incremental in the jam. There's a good amount of visual progression and the color look really good with the dithering and contrast .
thank you so much, we are honored to hear that :,-). thanks for taking the time to play and letting us know your thoughts!
oh. my goodness.
First of all, as someone else who created an incremental game, I am kicking myself for not thinking of "spincremental" lol
But honestly, this game is absolutely incredible. As a professional yapper, I'm rarely at a loss for words, but here I am. I just...the color palette, the music, the visuals, the concept, the ENDING?? All perfect. Like, I genuinely can't think of anything I would change about this. You deserve all of the accolades coming your way.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go play this game again.
wow, your comment really means so much to us :,-) thank you so much for taking the time to play our game and leaving such a kind comment. we really appreciate it !!!
uh, woah i got chills at the ending LOL great game! The color palette is amazing, all the spinning visuals were beautiful, I was a bit mesmerized by the galazy lol.
thank you so much for taking the time to play our game and letting us know your thoughts! we appreciate it!
I love how crazy this game is, and how basically it is a very fast incremental, very fun concept, and the art style and audio were perfect, amazing work ♥
thank you so much for taking the time to play our game and letting us know your kind words <3 !!
I always knew that fidget spinners would lead to the end of the universe
Never imagined I could spin 10 earths at once. Very well polished and complete game. Boredom was cured. 10/10 Would Spin Again.
To spin it simply: This is a masterpiece.
I enjoyed it! beautiful visuals!
Very Charming experience, wish there was more of it! The progression felt engaging, nothing about it was sluggish or felt like it dragged on, the visuals are awesome too!
Incredibly polished incremental game... Great work on the progression, sounds, and art... It really all came together, and now I'm cured of my boredom.
What an ending lolol - very beautiful visuals!
