looks super fun, just felt kinda weird to play with the controls, but i think it definitely could be awesomer!!

This looks like it could be really cool, but the controls were not for me, unfortunately. Regardless of how I used WASD, I couldn't really get myself to spin except to hit an enemy here or there. Never killed more than 2 or 3 enemies over a handful of run attemps. It wasn't totally clear to me what IJKL was doing as far as tilt goes.

This looks like it will be really cool, and I can see others were successful in spinning correctly. Skill issue/not understanding or getting things to work on my end T.T

I'm sorry to hear that ):

I've gotten similar feedback from everyone who tested it, if i ever work on this again ill probably have to remake the movement.

thanks for trying the game <3

And just to be super clear: Everything else about it was great. Still good marks. I can see the intent <3

Very fun, very responsive and juicy. Art is also great considering the short time. Even a custom capsule image. Really well done! And the genre ofc is a great pick.

Roguelikes my beloved :) First time seeing this mechanic, I like the idea of having to keep the momentum of the spin. I had quite a bit of fun getting through it after the initial learning curve. Great game.

I cracked the ultimate tactics! Definitely fits the spin to win theme well. You MUST spin or you die. Winning is the only option. Very creative movement idea! Great job!

Great game and I solid idea! I do think that the controls were a bit iffy. Maybe look into mouse controls? Or simply find a way to make the sword move more.

Developer

ill prob tweak the code for the spin decay, for the most part i've split the formula in two, one half for the base decay and another for variable decay.

did you feel the sword was hard to get moving or too easy to stop?

I think the build from an hour ago made the enemies unhittable because the sword doesn't spin with wasd, mcharacter moves. OR I'm bad!

Developer

aww man ):  i checked the game and it seemed fine. .

almost everyone who played it told me spinning the sword was hard, i probably overtuned it?

I might just be dumb and can't find the wasd rhymthm or ijk combination to maek it spin fast enough to kill an enemy. I'll try again!

I loved this game, good to see a fellow blending concept.  I appreciate the efforts u put into the art for this game.

nice good job on making this game and submitting it! i def liked the idea of spinning the sword in order to destroy the enemies and the upgrades were very fun too, now the thing is that the controls felt a lil hard because the sword loses momentum too quickly which loses that satisfying feel of spinning the wheel very fast and destroying the enemies, maybe because i should've moved with JKLI keys but my brains goes "you have to move with only wasd", the upgrades could be boosted a bit more to feel that you actually made an upgrade, since you don't get upgrades very quickly here, but yeah other than that the game was alot of fun B), felt like vampire survivors for sure :)

Great idea, but every time I bought a bigger sword upgrade, my sword disappeared. Also, the controls are a bit hard to get used to.

thanks for the feedback!
i just patched the sword size bug (it was a very stupid mistake )
I don't really know what to do about the controls though . . . 🥀
