this is honse on steroids, its 10x more chaotic (in a good way) than honse
the voice acting is a lil quiet for me, but the music is a banger!!
the qte was fun, the breakdancing was unexpected, perfect.

joe kujoe is all that i can say.

So glad you enjoyed the music!

I read the title and still didn't see the Jojo reference coming haha, I'm SLACKING. Amazing opening cutscene and voice acting! fun little rhythm gameplay as well, a little sad you didnt get to flesh out the other option, but its hard to get a game done in just one week, so good job still!

I genuinely was in shock when they started breaking it down instead of fighting, this game is sick!

Thank you so much for playing! I am glad you liked it :)

Yo thanks for enjoying the music!

Solid animations, intriguing story line, typing while spinning, it's the whole package. I wish there was more flashy feedback when hitting/missing keys to match the vibe of the music and dancing. Would play more if there were more levels. Super enjoyable experience!

OMG I thought i would fight with swords and stuff but then they were dancing THATS PEAK

the cutscene and the art was super great too loved it :)

Positives:
Cutscenes/animations

Improvements/Suggestion:
Having streaks for points or like beat saber lifes

I liked the game! It is really bizarre, it could be me but, putting a lot of different keys to press and not the same makes me look at my keyboard to make sure i will press the right key and then miss the note lol, besides that, really good!

Dripping with atmosphere. If you'd shown me the intro cutscene and asked me to guess what happens next I never would've gotten it. Nice work!

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words!! I am glad the surprise worked, thank you for playing!

This game was such a fun little game, only thing I wish is that when you fail the qtes you dont have to watch the entire opening cutscene again. Its a really good cutscene but im not good enough at qtes for that lol!

Developer

Thank you for playing! You can hold space to skip the cutscene, the game over screen says that. Although, there might be a bug where the game over screen does not show up, did it appear for you?

Submitted

It was appearing but getting cuttoff, all I saw was press space to restart (I could also just be bad at reading)

Developer

Hmmm, I think it is probably a UI scaling issue, sorry about that. What aspect ratio and resolution is your monitor?

Submitted

Ha! What a fun little experience. The gameplay is short, admittedly, but it was fun to see some flamboyant characters in a wacky arena of swords(?) doing funky dance moves.

The atmosphere in this one is insane! The world and character designs are incredible, and the story behind them seems really cool. That said, I think it's lacking a little on the gameplay side. I like the idea of a rhythm game with a wider variety of possible inputs, but I think the gameplay could be tied a bit more closely to the music somehow

Developer

IMPORTANT: there were bugs with the gameplay as noted by the comments below, but they have been fixed now.

Very amusing, cool visuals and music. Certainly not very fleshed out gameplay-wise and the part that asks for inputs doesn't seem to work. Would have loved to see more spinning in the dancing. Best of luck on the rest of the game, I'm interested to see what it becomes!

Developer

Thank you for playing! The gameplay has been fixed and fleshed out, can you beat it?

Submitted

I'm glad you were able to get it fixed! Yes, I did manage to beat it.

Glad you liked the music!

I really like the premise, the many swords in the ground set the ambience really well, but the quick time events unfortunately don't work and the little scene doesn't have a narrative conclusion. The stands vestiges are also very well designed and look awesome but I'd recommend you to spend some time on planning your time usage next time you participate in a game jam so as not to end up with no time to actually finish the game.

Developer

yeah the quick time events were not working, but it has been fixed and fleshed out now. It is a little tough, maybe worth another go?

Submitted

I’d hoped you would fix them:) I’ll check it out later today

Funny, caught us off guard. Key inputs sadly did not work though.

Developer

Key inputs have been fixed and fleshed out now! Sorry about the first build being broken, but I think it is worth another play now. It is a little tough though...

Submitted

The name is perfect, overall it made me giggle, no notes

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words, it means a lot! The gameplay part has been fixed and expanded, sorry it was broken at first.
