The wit and the humor in the way the game tries to spin these stories is hilarious. The game is quite tough but it also feels rewarding replaying it over and over to figure out the right answer for the different scandals this mayor keeps getting into. Good job!

I LOVE this game. The humour in the new stories, and just thinking like a reporter who has some kind of hidden agenda really strikes home a pretty sobering realization about just how easy it is to misinform, and in turn, how easy it is TO BE misinformed.

Great stuff, genuinely the coolest application of the theme that I have seen so far, I really like how this game had a real message underneath its "serious" appearence. Well done!

hey great game im a lil special with it at the beginning but after a lil bit  i got it figured out hope you get lots of good ratings !

fun ambiance,

Got a little lost in the tutorial, but once I figured it out, it was fun!

One of the most unique ideas I've seen so far. Love the concept and had a great time.

Maybe it was me but there was some ambiguity about what the mayor would like, and also some of the news text overflowed into the background newspaper sometimes.

Really like the brief spin on the spin brief! A lot of fun, but quite punishing. It felt like those quizzes you have to do when starting a new job, but every answer is the wrong answer. :D

Great theming. The moving text at the bottom was really immersive. I liked the comedy, and could tell you spent a lot of effort coming up with the headlines and spins.

Great work!

I like the idea very much and the scrolling bar at the bottom of the screen really made me feel like a PR manager always ready with the freshest news :)
With a bit more polish around the assets I think you made a wonderful game!

Interesting concept! It’s rare to see the theme used in a figurative sense instead of a physical one, with the player spinning the narrative in the newspaper to help the mayor win. Very creative.

Turns out my credibility as a reporter is not great. Well executed concept! Appreciate the in-game tutorial.

Cool game, although I noticed that quick often the headline would go into the paper art making it hard to read sometimes.

it doesn't seem to be working for me, looks like a great idea though!

Hahah, this is funny!  It feels good knowing that I made a game about a mayor--- very serious business! I felt attacked! I couldn't spin the stories right! I had to try a few times. I could never live in the public eye!

I tried to stay serious. Newspaper man fired me. I'm really not the man for good PR.

Submitted

please nobody hire me to write a newspaper! I enjoyed it, trying to figure out what the mayor likes, didnt experience any bugs, or anything game breaking! fun!

This is a really creative concept and take on the theme, but it is kinda frustrating having to make a call on a subjective metric. It mostly feels like random guessing, which makes the player feel like they have little agency.

Developer

There are 2 bugs in the browser version of the game:
1. Resolution is very small, which can make text or gui elements blurry

2. The ticker at the bottom is meant to seperate each statement with a ★ or ⚠ symbol. In the web version, the unicode encoding for the text breaks a little bit so it displays a  symbol instead.

Both bugs do not appear in the desktop versions of the game.

Super creative concept for the game! Tutorial felt very intuitive and gameplay plays well too!

I really enjoyed playing the game.
The buzzer sound upon failure is a bit loud compared to the rest.

Very Serious!
Love the idea of the game, its fun to play for a while
