I really liked the visual style, the SFX/BGM also matched well to the game and it was fun trying to figure out how to sell the sandwiches for each character.

thank you!!!

The art and dialogue for the was spot on

Great work

Only complaint is the timer I really wished I had a little more time to think about what option to choose

Other than that great game

Developer

i'm still super iffy on the timer but thank you for playing in general!!

Fun little game! Enjoyed learning all the characters. The date dialogue tree made me audibly laugh. I wish there was more content!

Developer

THANK YOU FOR PLAYING!! more content hopefully soon :)

All the dialogue and character stuff was amazing. Going through the dialogue trees without gaslighting/pleading was really fun in of itself. It’s not very intuitive on whether you should gaslight/plead a lot of the time though, with the timer sort of discouraging figuring it out as you’re losing time. Once the characters start repeating it also becomes easy to immediately choose the right dialogue options. But overall a really charming game, all the characters are likeable and have great designs.

Developer

yeah totally valid and i need to figure out a way to balance the plead/gaslight mechanics. i was also hoping to make a complicated enough tree to not hit the same dialogue options too often but ran out of time :( thank you for playing!!

The art style was so cute, I really enjoyed seeing all the character designs! Each of them had their own distinct personalities and stories, which made it fun to talk to each one. Cool game!

Developer

thank you for playing!!

think this style of game would be better suited for not having a timer, but i enjoyed reading some of the conversations, and spinning my way through them. i did get stuck relatively often while navigating between the NPCs, and also i kept picking the wrong one, that damn owl needed constant gaslighting - i feel like this could be solved with maybe highlighting the character you are selecting, other than that, very cute art and i think you definitely spun.

Developer

ooh that's a good idea i'll keep that in mind!! thanks for the feedback and thank you for playing!

Love the art style of the characters and this game's concept 🌈
Well done ! ✨🐈🐑🐦‍⬛

thank you for your kind words and for playing!!!

Fun fact: I discovered this game because the arrow was pointing at mine in the list xD

And I'm glad I did: I like the interpretation of "spinning" the conversation (as well as spinning literally), dialogue is written very good as well! I also like the 2.5D (I don't know if you call it that) Art!

Developer

it was meant to be!! THANK YOU FOR PLAYING!!

Interesting concept and a nice art style to go along with it. Good stories told through the dialogue too. Good job!

Developer

thank you so much and thank you for playing!!

This game is super fun! I like the slightly intimidating boss horse haha. Im not sure how I felt about the timer aspect of the game, bc it made me feel like I had to rush the interactions rather than thinking about what I want to pick. Still a really neat take on the theme :]

Developer

makes total sense that's something i wasn't sure about as well!! thanks for playing!!

Really nice artwork! The dialogs are a lot of fun as well, kept me very engaged and wanting to see what everyone had to say.

Developer

thank you sm and thanks for playing :)

quite cute! i wish i was able to make the text move faster though

Developer

so valid i think making the text autocomplete is a feature i should have had and my first post-jam todo!! thanks for playing!!

Loved this spin on the theme. The character designs are great. Good game.

Developer(+1)

thank you!!!

Incredibly cute. Neat that you put a spin on the conversation to win them as a customer, ingenious take on the theme. Appreciated the focus on one mechanic, to persuade the interesting group of characters to come out of their unique lives and buy one of your sandwiches.

Developer

thank you so much :)

Why's my horse boss kinda hot? o_o

Developer

LOL when i was drawing him i was like wait a minute .....

Unique take on the theme! This was very cute. I must admit I didn't know what I was doing for a while, and the sounds effects always made me think I was making a wrong choice, not sure if maybe I was actually making wrong choices? But I sold a bunch of sandwiches so thats cool. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

hi!! yeah right now it's a little ambiguous whether ur doing the right thing; i need to give the characters proper reactions and give the players more feedback in general. thank you for playing!!

My first impression was of BoJack Horseman. That was a very good first impression. I enjoyed the dialogues, even though they grew to be somewhat repetitive after a while. It seemed like I could take the same option every time for certain characters and always get the same result. The writing was very good though, so I soon ventured beyond the "winning" options in order to explore more dialogue. That is a great sign (see what I did there?)!

Developer

i love bojack horseman and the horse boss's design was very much based on him!! i hope to add more dialogue and different starts and paths for navigating throughout dialogue when i polish this game in the future.  thank you for playing and i'm glad u liked the writing :)
