the art in this game is super cute, and the gameplay is simple and fun. i really enjoyed playing :D

Very impressive character portraits!

The gameplay was a bit frustrating due to the spinner being difficult to control, the hitboxes being bigger than the spinner sprites, and how every combat starts with the enemy ramming into you with no preamble.

Was able to win by trapping the opponent against a wall so every clash had them bump into the wall and lose momentum.

The gameplay was still fun, just felt a bit more frustrating than it needed to be. Great entry!

Very cool visuals and art direction, the gameplay was also simple and fun! I'm glad the combat just resets when you lose, no wasting time going through menus and dialogues... I would love to see the sprites for the characters without the screen filter, all of their designs look sick!

You have a sweet base to build a full fledged game is you put in one more week or so. You can also take it in so many directions. More combat stuff, upgrades for your beyblade, a bit more of story... I see a lot of potential.

I love the vibe for the game. Beyblades, anime and tournaments work so well together don't they? (I did basically the same thing as you did). Big props for having some narrative background for the gameplay! Most people just ignore the story of a game. Good job!

Really cool visual style. The art is amazing and I love the color palette choices as well.

The fighting was fun but I had a hard time telling how much damage I was going to do vs. take. Maybe some kind of speed indicator could help? Other than that the art, music, and vibes were superb!

Gameplay is simple but very well thought and i would love to see more of it!

Thoroughly enjoyed my time playing Gyro Anima. It definitely has a learning curve and poses some difficult at first.
The pixel art style is very cute with gorgeous portraits for the cast, as well as a retro CRT filter that gives a retro arcade feel.
Animations on the spinners are also really well made, and the general movement feels super smooth and the momentum is a really fun aspect to fighting when you get the hang of it!
Also I love the team logo at the start, absolutely adorable!

Can't wait for what's next!

Loved the art? The only thing taking from it I think was that the cathodic filter was a bit too strong for my taste. Otherwise gameplay is simple but very well thought and we would have loved to see more of it !

I can see the Pokemon Battles inspirations here, and i like how progresivly gets harder Love the art, both in the game world and the battles, and the characters design too And the battle music its really cool too I really enjoyed this game!

Cool narrative twist on the beyblades idea. The graphics were nice too, reminded me of a ds game.

Cool art style and idea :)

I love the idea/ concept. I just wish there was more info communicated to the player during gamplay (UI telling you how to progress dialog and a meter or something to show when you have more momentum for example).

Cool look, cool game! Could do with some more mechanics, I couldn't work out how to defeat the third guy! Maybe a dash that does extra damage that you need to time or something? And a countdown for each match would be good, as well as a WINNER or something at the end, the transitions are a bit sudden. Well done though, especially the looks and character design!

While the CRT shader is neat, and can fit a retro theme, it would be nice if there was an option to turn it off. It felt a bit overdone.

The game could use with some instructions/controls being added to the game page. When I started I was not sure what to press to continue. I tried clicking the mouse around, then space and enter, before starting to press random other keys before finding that Z advanced the dialog. Pressing escape gave me a black screen, and I had to refresh the page to continue trying things.

I don't feel like I really understood the game mechanics. It talked about building up speed, but I found the best way to win was to stay close and just keep hitting the enemy. When I moved away and tried to build up speed, I couldn't seem to do it well enough and when hitting the enemy generally took more damage than they did. When close and hitting them often and fast, I was easily able to beat them.

It fits the theme pretty well. Once I found the controls it was simple enough to play. A bit of a tutorial level to teach the techniques and practice would be nice. It wasn't really my thing, but it felt like a decent base for those who like this style.

Couldn’t quite figure out the mechanics of it to beat the last opponent, but I loved the art and sound! Nice work!

This was enjoyable mostly due to the visuals and audio, the gameplay was fun but I couldn't rap my head around how to build more speed most likely a skill issue on my part. Good luck!

Nice idea, but I bit missed a tutorial or some kind of instructions. Art and sound were good.

Wow, the art style and graphics in this project are absolutely phenomenal! You did an incredible job with the visual presentation—it has so much polish and character. The audio design is also a huge plus and complements the overall atmosphere beautifully.

Unfortunately, I ran into a bit of a technical hitch where my keys weren't responding, so I got stuck and couldn't skip past the dialogues to fully experience the gameplay. However, I still gave you a good rating because the visual and audio foundation you've built here is top-tier. Once that minor bug is fixed, it's going to be an incredible experience. Best of luck with the ratings! 🎨📻✨
