Interesting game made from “scratch” with Scratch. Very impressive! The gameplay concept is also really original. Spinning the wheel to gain money or movement, then spending money in the shop to get more spins or buy movement, makes the whole system come full circle. I’ll skip the critique part since most of it has already been mentioned about the UI bugs. Still, good job on the game!

Developer

Thank you so much😁 I'm really glad you like the core concept and how the game loop turned out. And thanks for being gentle with the critique😀 I know the UI can be a bit rough, but when the jam is over, I definitely plan to fix those UI bugs. Thanks again for playing😊Have a great day

Yay we both made a game in scratch. The art seems a bit rushed, but I like the style.

Developer

Thanks for the great feedback😀7 days goes by fast, so the art neds to be a bit rushed. Awesome to see another Scratch developer here. I played our game, very uniqe concept🙂Have a great day!

The art really reminds me of flash games which is very charming!

Developer

Thanks a lot for the great feedback😃 It's built entirely in Scratch, so that's why the style is the way it is. Awesome that it gives you those classic Flash vibes. (I love that style) Have a great day😁

decent game with decent art, also maybe after the jam fix a bug where: when the player buys any of the speed upgrades(or whatever they were) you needed to spin the wheel or else the game will give you a random reward, but when the player presses "yes" the game will not hide that screen thing, It will be there forever... unless the player spins a wheel

at the end still It's a good game (especially for a first game)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing😆 I really appreciate your kind words about the art. I've noted down that upgrade/wheel bug, and you are totally right about the UI, and i will fix it after the game jam. Thanks again for the great feedback and thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review. Have a great day😃

thx and you too

Ok so the game is good, art is good music is good, but there are definately alot of issues such as layering issues, screen darkening, collision issues with coins etc. I hope you will work on the game and polish it well. Overall really fun concept. Great job on the submission.

Developer

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback and for playing my game😁 I'm glad you enjoyed the art, music, and overall concept. You're spot on about the issues. I'm actively looking into the layering, screen darkening, and coin collisions, and i hope to fiux it after the game jam. Thanks again for the great feedback, have a great day😊

I did have some issues with softlocking, but this is a pretty solid game. Well done!

Developer

I'll fix it after the jam. Thank you so much for the awesome feedback. Have a good day😃

Very good job making this game in a week, especially since you're so young! I think it would be nice with more money options in the wheelspin, because now it's only one big one (50), which is like a JACKPOT! It would be nice with a couple +10 or +20 gold maybe as well!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the great review and your kind words😀 (It was also lot of hard work making the game in just one week so your support really means a lot to me. Thanks!)

That is a fantastic idea regarding smaller options in the wheel. I totally agree that adding smaller rewards like +10 or +20 gold alongside the jackpot would make it much more exciting and fun to play. I will definitely look into adding this after the jam🙂

Thanks for playing and for helping me make the game even better. Have a great day😁

Cool concept and I love that it was made in scratch. There were a few UI bugs here and there and the wheel spun for a little too long but overall an interesting submission.

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the great feedback😁 I'm really glad you liked the concept. I'll definitely look into those UI bugs and tweak the wheel spin timer. Thanks again for the review and have a great day😊

Very interesting Idea, and giving the players the option between Yes/No is a clever way to break up the "randomness" factor of the game a bit!

Developer

Thank you so much it means allot to me😃 I'm really glad you liked the concept. Balancing the randomness through the Yes/No choices was exactly what I aimed for. In the start of the game jam, i wanted to make it like cards instead of the yes and no buttons😄 Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts have a great day😄

Submitted(+1)

Cool idea! but sometimes the game wouldn't let me click the yes option

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the awesome feedback! 😁 I'm so glad you like the idea. I'll look into fixing the [Yes] button bug after the jam. Have a great day🙂

Submitted(+2)

good idea,  my only suggestion would be to make the spin time of the wheel shorter

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the great feedback😀 I'm really glad you like game idea. And I'll definitely look into speeding it up a bit. Have a great day😊

Submitted(+2)

cool idea , there's only one thing the wheel spinning time a bit too , other then that , great work.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the great feedback😀 I'm really glad you like the game. I totally hear you on the wheel spinning time. I'll definitely look into speeding it up a bit. Have a great day😁

Submitted(+1)

pretty good!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback😀Do you think theres anything that can be better? (Have a great day☺️)

Submitted(+1)

I don't think it fully loaded for me, There wasnt any button or mouse click that would do anything

Developer

I will fix that after the jam thanks😀Have a great summer

Developer

So, I wondered why you just commented 'good game'. I read that some people in 'rate for rate' just give people 3 stars and then comment 'good game' or 'nice game'. Did you do that? This is just a question. Thanks for your time😀

Submitted(+1)

Nice idea!

I think it would really fit a multiplayer "tabletop" game, taking turns to spin the wheel and to move around the map, racing to reach a location first and maybe having interactions between players.

I had a bit of a bug, I think when I was left with 0 spins, I bought a spin. When I used it, the game automatically detected that I've lost. But the spin result was winning 2 extra spins. I could of kept going.

I liked it though!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback😊The multiplayer idea is great, but since I built this in Scratch, coding that feature would take a lot of time. I’ll definitely keep it in mind for a future update, though.

I'm also aware of the bug where the game mistakenly ends your run when you win extra spins instead of letting you continue. Thanks for playing my game, and have a wonderful day😃

Hi there! I played the game and thought it had a good concept. It lacked a bit of execution though. But then I read that you made this in SCRATCH??? Honestly impressive. You get a big bonus for that. Just for feedback I will also attach some bugs that I found as pictures, but these haven't affected my rating at all. Good work!

Here it looks like it landed on 'walk 5 blocks' but I got the 'short jump' action.

Here the level disappeared. Everything worked after a restart.

Developer(+1)

😀Thanks a lot for the awesome feedback! I’m so glad you liked the concept and had a fun time. I really appreciate you sending over those bug screenshots. I think it touched both on the same time and then bugged out.🤔 I don't know exactly why the level disappeared, but again, thanks for pointing out the bugs. I will fix them when I have some time. Have a great day😁(It was fun building with Scratch, but it was also very challenging)

Submitted(+2)

Ahhhh... Jonz... You don't know THERE'S ALREADY DOOM RECREATED IN SCRATCH?!?!?!?

Developer

Yeh thats true😀 Crazy what people can make in scratch.

Hoping one day SSNTails would make SRB2 in Scratch :,). And, if you don't care... Why do you put emojis everywhere and everytime in everyword you make?

Developer (1 edit)

Fair enough! I just like putting them everywhere because it makes chatting more fun for me. 😄 I definitely agree that seeing SRB2 on Scratch one day would be fun and crazy. And have a great day :)

There's some a bit of depth to when to spin and when not to spin, I had a couple of issues with the UI and it isn't made clear that you can't click no at the beginning. But honestly a fun idea with a bit of depth sadly the poor ball was left behind for me :(

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and for the great feedback😀 I really appreciate your thoughts on the depth of the spinning mechanic. I completely agree with you regarding the UI issues and the "no" button. Thanks again for giving it a try😁

Submitted(+1)

It's a cool original concept! Quite confusing though.

Developer

😁Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you find the concept original.

Since I don't usually make puzzle or strategy games, the mechanics can definitely feel a bit confusing. Did you get a chance to check out the tutorial before playing? It should help clear up how everything works😀

Submitted(+2)

I am incredibly impressed that you made all of this in Scratch!

The game is funny, colourful and different - and it most certainly fits the theme. Strangely addicting to use a spinner as a movement system.

(Dislaimer: this game was made by a student of mine, and I am super proud)

Developer

☺️Thank you so much! It means the world to me that you took the time to try it and share it. I’m really glad you liked it. Thank you for all your support and for being such a great teacher😀
