Really cool concept and I love the ASCII art, fun game once I figured out what I was doing. Unfortunately I had to zoom my browser out to see the whole game, feels like it should fit my browser size or allow full screen - not a big deal, but would be nice for QoL.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! I will try to add some responsiveness the size in the html

Not sure why this is happening, but when I hover over the lower riders my screen starts jittering back and forth really fast which basically makes it show double of everything. Even though I wasn't really able to play it the game looks really cool, especially with the clean UI and ASCII art.

Developer

Sorry that the experience bugged, after the jam is officially over I will try to clean the game up and make these corrections. thank you for your feedback

Cool visuals! Riders change their speed very frequently, so I was a bit stressed and didn't read what I was doing at first (didn't see that there's a pause button until later), and played without sound for about half the game until I found that it can be enabled

Developer

Thank you,  Do you think that is is better to add a 'start with sound' and a 'start without sound' at the opening screen?

Submitted(+1)

Usually it's a slider which either starts at 100% or 50%, I'd just make the game start with sound by default

Very creative idea, love the ASCII art style. Took me a minute to understand that these are cyclers, but when I got i loved it! I was glued to the monitor trying to keep my royal cyclers motivated and running hahaha. It is kinda similar to rhytmic games where you have to have a great control of many kaeyboard keys. Counting mistakes to a final score is a great idea too. My only issue was understanding what is going on when i first time opened the game.

Developer

Thank you! I will try to create a simpler version after the Jam is over

This is an excellent jam entry! I think the text based UI is great and the concept is very funny. I notice people here are saying the UI is cluttered, which I don't really agree with. Seemed pretty standard for games with this kind of design.

The English is very good as is, but I noticed you mentioned you had translated it via Gemini. I would have liked to see a version in your native language, if only out of curiosity to see more of the original thought process behind the project. Let me know if you ever decide to add that, I will come back to play it again if so! Great job! :-)

Thank you very much, I’m from Brasil and I do speak english on my work but my training was in american schools. I have seen lota of monty python and other comedies from england. But I was unsure that the terms and jokes were correct

Cool!! Prazer em conhecê-lo! Eu amo Monty Python. :-)

Nice work!  I like the take on a "spin class" as an application of the theme, and I love the ASCII visuals!

It took me a little while to figure out what everything in the UI meant, but once I did, the gameplay was pretty fun.  I finished "good enough for ink seal," but I still haven't figured out how to know when an upgrade is ready; maybe some kind of clear audio or visual indicator (the button lights up or similar) would help that part out.  There was also just a lot going on the interface all the time; I never looked at the right-hand column, for example, because I felt my attention needed to stay on the bikers.

All-in-all, though, I had a lot of fun with my playthrough, and I think with a little bit of decluttering/minimalization, this could be something really cool.

Developer

Thank you! After the jam I think I will create a more basic version

thank you, it became cluttered since I lost control of the scope, I will try after the jam to create a smaller version

I think this looks super creative but is way too visually cluttered and complicated for a game jam entry. I really tried to understand what I was looking at but just couldnt.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback, I guess that I went a little overboard
