This was interesting.
There was no spin to win though.
I did like the idea of slowing down the ballet though with the out of tune ballet.
I do think what this needs for abit more polish is a timer to indicate how long before u need to press. Might be too conditioned to panic by rhythm games.
The second issue I have is that the beats is off from the music, so it feels abit disorienting
Well, you spin to win. But, yes, I agree with everything else!! Thanks so much for playing!!
Interesting entry!
Enjoyment: 4/5
It was very very short but enjoyable! My only complaint is that it's maybe a tad TOO short. Could've used some extra gameplay.
Creativity and Theme: 5/5
It does follow the spinning theme + bonus point for also having a ballerina-based game for this jam twin
Visuals: 4/5
The visuals are pretty good, I just wish the ballerina had more proper animations to her rather than just being still images moving and switching around, as it feels a little awkward.
Audio: 3/5
The music is a bit too loud and there isn't anything else going on. I like the idea of the music slowing down/speeding up depending on your input though!
Seriousness: 5/5
Ballet is indeed very serious.
FINAL RATING: 4/5
Extremely short but fun game! :D
Very generous of you!! Thanks for the feedback !!
The aesthetic is so cute, I love the sunlight coming through the windows and the pastel colors! The controls are simple but surprisingly challenging since the keys aren't typically used in games. It took me a couple attempts to get a successful run, which is a good thing! Would love to see a rhythm mechanic where you need to press the keys in time with the music, but this is a great first game! (We also made a ballerina game and love to see more representation in the jam :) )
very much appreciated!! Thanks for the feedback!!
Your game is super adorable! I absolutely loved the color palette it all looks so charming
Personally, I would've added a slightly bolder outline to the "Pirouette Please!" logo so it pops even more :D
The music never got repetitive, even after several attempts! I definitely wasn't expecting to use my keyboard haha, but honestly, that gives the game its own unique charm
I just wish the game were a bit longer, and it would've been super fun if the final part got even faster for an extra challenge:>
Thank you very much for the feedback!!
Great first project. I like how you display the character next to the letter so that we can focus on both at the same time, it makes the user experience much better!
I love the graphics!
thanks so much for the feedback!!!
As a classically trained musician I appreciate the inclusion of old classics. Wonderful short game!
Thank you so much for playing !!
Very cool game, i am really bad at time sensitive stuff so it was a struggle to win but its fair in its difficulty :). I really liked the art and especially the different musics that play in game and during the tutorial :D
Thank you very much for the feedback!!
Loved the game it looks really nice and the concept is really attractive. Loved the failure bit really much. (Yes I am serious dear dev lemme be bad :'[ )
One small issue, my ears almost died launching the game because it was so loud xD
I liked this a lot!! It's super polished, and the art especially wonderful! It has a very confident aesthetic which I very much appreciate. This was a great first jam entry, congrats!!
That’s very kind, thanks!!
Great first project! The super distorted music was pretty funny, the game played a bit like QWOP for ballerinas haha!
Nice pixel art too! Great work!
Yay, thanks very much!
Nice jam entry, espeially considering it is one of yoou first (?) I like the overall art style and little animations very much. Game play is short and quite easy, while I got the good and the bad ending :D I get the connection to the theme, although personally I'd wished for more spinning actually or something more 'unique'. Still good entry!
Thank you very much!!
