You're right! Everything does spin LOL! Wasn't entirely sure what I was supposed to do at the satellite part, but I got there in the end! xD Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Glad that you could reach the end despite everything!

Cool conceptual game! I like the minimalist design. The music fit well, too. I couldn't figure out the satellite part even with reading your explanation but that might just be me. Overall great work.

Developer

Thanks you very much! But probably it was us (specifically me on that part jaja), testing it after the GamenJam we found some bugs, so probably that was the reason.

I see that someone else commented what I was gonna say. I agree that this could make for an interesting educational game! Sometimes the turning/spinning of stuff was a bit awkward, but not too bad. Having some checkpoints like during the kraken section would very much help! I actually liked the low poly visuals. The audio was good as well. It was unique going through different stages of "life". The thing that got me though was the harsh changes in lighting. Sometimes from dark to light or the white flash between scene changes. Overall, well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! ^^ We’re really glad you liked it. We’re still getting the hang of game development, so we’ll do a better job polishing the final results in future projects.

I got to the sailing with kraken bit and enjoyed myself until then. And the sailing did feel nice too but the segment felt very unfair because i needed to get two turns on the wheel in before each tentacle to actually avoid them (don’t know if it is a mouse sensitivity thing mattering there) and there simply wasn’t time enough unless i pre-turned, hoping to not steer towards the next tentacle. I did manage to get about 9 tentacles deep once but being reset back to the beginning when the segment already felt unfair was a bit too much.

Otherwise a nice game with interesting spins in it!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback, yeah we got a little out of time, so there was a lot of adjustment that it need it, specially after testing it on different devices. Glad you like it otherwise ^^, sorry for answering a little late jaja

I can see this being a really good interactive educational game to teach science in schools, and it was also very cinematic. I think a bit more on screen help could have been provided cause no matter how long i twisted the sticks I couldnt get the fire to light.

Developer

Thanks very much! Yeah, personally, I try to recreate a bit of that low-poly (and not very good) educational game/web page, or at least my mental image of that style jaja. And yeah, we discover that for some reason on some devices that part takes a lot of spin while in others not, now that we have some free time would see if we find the reason (a little late jaja)

This was super cool! You guys utilized the third dimension really well. Definitely one of the most creative theme integrated experiences I have played so far. You should absolutely be proud of what you guys have made in such a short amount of time. Always happy to hear about a first time Godot user. I hope you enjoyed working with it! It is a fantastic tool for game jams. I hope you guys continue to make games in the future. Great job :)

Developer

Thank you very much ^^ It was a fun learning experience with 3D Godot, definitely would use again. We have plans to continue making games both together and each one of us on our, so that’s the plan for now ;) (Maybe even we would post something this GMTK, if the times matches.)

Really unique game idea. Good job.

Developer

Thank you very much ^

This is so cool interpretation of the theme, even with not the best visuals this game is w!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you very much! ^^ Yeah, we tried to play more to our strengths with this game because we’re still beginners when it comes to 3D visuals. Since we had such a short amount of time, we decided to go with a simpler design so we could focus more on the mini puzzles.

We learned a lot along the way, so maybe next time we can make the visuals better for a 3D game or go with 2D, where we have more experience.

Thank you again for playing out little game ^

Bro became not only completed game jam smartly, but also became the Shakespear of game theme.

My only struggle is playing this game with mouse pad haha.

Developer

Thank you very much! ^^ We had a lot of fun coming up with ideas for the theme, so we’re really glad that people liked our approach to it.

Yeah, I could totally see the mouse pad being a struggle jaja. Personally, I hate mouse pads and try to never use them (my mouse pad didn’t even work), so while developing the game it wasn’t something I thought about. Next time, we’ll definitely try to keep that in mind and design/test with different ways of playing.

This game is insane, so underated! An advice to get more ratings is to try othe games and rate them, this helps you a lot ,trust me!

Developer

Thanks for the tip ^^, I’m glad you like it, this is our first game so we experiment a lot with this one jaja.

I enjoyed the theme of the game and how each segment went on, the atoms one was quite cool.

Anyhow I couldnt get to the end screen because:

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and the compliments! Also thank you for finding a new bug it seems haha did it stop moving towards the main body?

Submitted(+1)

it didnt move at all actually despite trying all sort of alignments so I guessed its probably glitched also the rotation sensitivity is way cranked up on the main body but extremely low on the piece but

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Yeah, that seems like a glitch unfortunately. Thank you for your feedback, and thanks for playing the game anyway. ^^ It means a lot!

The game felt like I was constantly having a dream. REALLY unique vibe and one of the best games I've played during the jam.

Developer

Oh wow this is a huge compliment, thank you so much!

Developer

Thank you very much, we are glad that you enjoyed our little creation ^^

I got stuck on the space one idk what the goal is :(

Developer

Hi! Firstly, thank you very much for playing our game.

Yeah, that part could have a little more clarity on what to do. The idea is to align the core satellite with its parts by spinning each one so they attach to the core. There’s a red line showing where each anchor point is heading, and when a part’s anchor aligns with an anchor on the core, it starts moving to attach to it.

If you want to give it a second try, there’s an ending cinematic waiting for you after that level. ;)

Of course! I think I had the same bug that someone else mentioned, just now I had to restart 3 times to get them to pull together. That first playthrough I was stuck for 10 minutes trying everything I could think of before giving up and thinking I just didn't understand the puzzle.

This attempt was going well until I realized all of the sides were getting filled in and... yeah I wasn't able to get the last one on haha.

Honestly, I really liked the idea of this and I enjoyed the atom and ship levels. The fire level I feel like it takes a bit too long to cook the fish, I was wondering if the game was broken or if I was doing something wrong until it suddenly completed (maybe I was doing something wrong but managed to complete it anyways?) And obviously I struggled the most with the space level. The precision + the damn asteroids... that was rough.

I really appreciate the level select. If not for your comment and that, I wouldn't have tried replaying it. That was a nice ending cinematic :]

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and the feedback! 🌈
