We are glad that you enjoy it ^^ probably we miss on giving proper UI feedback when you try to use a power up but doesn’t have enough blood to use it, that or is a bug that we didn’t catch that is very possible.

R.I.P Shrimp, one must do what it must do to ascend

Very creative implementation, some extra gameplay feedback like sounds on hits would be nice, and maybe it was me but I feel the default attack hitbox a little to small. Otherwise very good work!

Precious art style, I think the game was a little to simple, maybe it could be like you have to get certain food on a given order, like some orders are coming to the kitchen, and you have to select the correct ones.

This happens to my buddy the other day

I always like the bug focused narratives, I think it’s a very interesting theme on video games. I also agree with previous comment that the lag spikes where a little too annoying, otherwise very good job

To be honest, I suck at it jaja, but love the idea! The UI fits the game really well, and I can definitely see it becoming super addictive with such a simple mechanic.

8 beats out of 8

Love the character art and all the little props! The mechanic is also really creative. I love when a simple mechanic like this completely changes the way you move through the game.

It felt a little clunky at times because the bat would sometimes drop me immediately, even though I was still holding the key. I would’ve loved to reach the end, but that issue made it pretty difficult. I also missed having some music to accompany the player, jaja.

Other than that, great job!

R.I.P

Thank you! ^^ I’m glad we inspire you, it’s a big compliment tbh. The monochromatic style is a lot of fun. I’m a big fan of how artistic restrictions push you to find new and more creative solutions (and, of course, it also saves us time from spending it coloring every sprite, jaja).

I think we built a great foundation with this one, so maybe we’ll come back after the game jam and expand it with more levels. The original map design was actually twice the size, with more props and additional points of interest, also we have some more ideas of villagers behaviors and powers.

Very creative game, love the art style, it feels very cohesive with the music and the narrative. Would love a little more variation at the firsts enemies, or a difficult curve that introduce new concepts earlier on the game, it fell a little repetitive until the hidden value of the bullets come in (was thinking about maybe enemies with more or less than 3 bullets, for example). Otherwise, very great game, congrats!

This game is on a big need of enabling the full screen option, I cannot read almost anything with the default view :c

Thank you very much ^^ Now I regret not putting the time on the final screen, we didn’t think of it earlier, jaja. And yeah, it surprised me during development that knowing the position of the villagers doesn’t take away from the fun of the game, I even found it a little funnier to try to complete it as fast as you can with your current knowledge. We would definitely take that into account if we decide to expand it.

It’s always a nice surprise to listen to Hatsune Miku when you least expect it.

Love the music and the narrator’s voice, and I love the general silly atmosphere, jaja. It really helps create a unique style. A few adjustments to the mechanics or visual feedback could make improve it. There were some garlics that I didn’t see coming that still hit me and slowed me down, so clearer feedback could help.

Also, I don’t know if it’s the lack of shadows or the disconnect between the obstacles and the environment, but something feels a little off.

Otherwise, pretty good job!

I would definitely dance with the Count at some party, seems like a chill fella

Thanks! ^^ It was quite an experience to bring it to life, but at the end it all comes together nicely.

Very creative concept! It reminds me a lot of the web puzzle games I played when I was little.

A nice upgrade would be a more polished UI and some soundtrack to accompany the player. Otherwise, it’s a really great work!

Glad that you could reach the end despite everything!

Thanks you very much! But probably it was us (specifically me on that part jaja), testing it after the GamenJam we found some bugs, so probably that was the reason.

Thanks! ^^ We’re really glad you liked it. We’re still getting the hang of game development, so we’ll do a better job polishing the final results in future projects.

Thanks for your feedback, yeah we got a little out of time, so there was a lot of adjustment that it need it, specially after testing it on different devices. Glad you like it otherwise ^^, sorry for answering a little late jaja

Thanks ^^

Dude tried a new genre for the first time and absolutely nailed it. You know it’s a great puzzle game when the learning curve and difficulty increase at such a natural pace that everything just feels smooth and rewarding.

The UI is perfect and makes for a very smooth experience. Combined with the music, it creates a relaxing atmosphere, even when you get stuck on the later levels. Honestly, it helped me unwind after a slightly stressful day. Great job, and keep up the amazing work on your future projects!

shwing!

Good movement system, like the use of the thematic, and the sound design is a 5/5 jaja

Love the atmosphere change when it reaches the end, I feel like on Majora Mask once again jaja.

Love your art direction, I look forward to future projects ^

We are brothers on interpretations for the theme jaja.

Love the art style, could see playing it on the bus on a trip trying to speedrun it. Was a little frustratingly some parts, but sometimes that is part of the spirit.

Very great job!

Very creative puzzles, and the increase in difficulty was very well done. The only two levels I couldn’t complete were 10 and C5. I would definitely come back later to finish them. ;)

I agree that the only issue was to not load the next level when finish one, but its just a detail

Very great work!

Very nice arcade style game, could see more maps and even some campaign mode where you need to reach a goal score before time out on each level. A mouse sensitivity setting would be a nice addition.

Congrats on your creation!

An easy 5 stars in every category, love all about it. Beautiful and distinctive art style, excellent sound design, and gameplay that feels just right.

The only issue was the bug where the game wouldn’t recapture the mouse. I would’ve loved to keep playing for more rounds if it weren’t for that.

Very creative game and a very nice piece of art overall. I love the more interactive approach to the visual novel genre. Keep up the great work!

10/10 would behead the monarchy again.

Love how the music and general sound design accompany you on the journey. The peaceful music helps to not bring other dive game PTSD jaja (Sonic, I’m looking at you).

10/10 frogs. Would dive into caves again.

Jaja I thought the same. I actually did a few speedrun attempts while testing.

And yeah, the shrimp was the result of not sleeping so we could meet the deadline on the last day. It adds a funny little touch.

Thanks ^^, maybe we would expand on this idea later, there is a lot of room for more scenarios and mechanics.

Shrimp indeed

Love the neon style and how the music builds stage by stage. I agree with the previous comments that more enemy variety would be a nice touch.

Congrats on your game! ^^

Thank you very much! We’re glad you enjoyed it ^^

Love it! Long live the spinning turtle

Thanks very much! Yeah, personally, I try to recreate a bit of that low-poly (and not very good) educational game/web page, or at least my mental image of that style jaja. And yeah, we discover that for some reason on some devices that part takes a lot of spin while in others not, now that we have some free time would see if we find the reason (a little late jaja)

Thank you very much ^^ It was a fun learning experience with 3D Godot, definitely would use again. We have plans to continue making games both together and each one of us on our, so that’s the plan for now ;) (Maybe even we would post something this GMTK, if the times matches.)

Thank you very much ^

Thank you very much! ^^ Yeah, we tried to play more to our strengths with this game because we’re still beginners when it comes to 3D visuals. Since we had such a short amount of time, we decided to go with a simpler design so we could focus more on the mini puzzles.

We learned a lot along the way, so maybe next time we can make the visuals better for a 3D game or go with 2D, where we have more experience.

Thank you again for playing out little game ^

Love the art and style. I could totally see a full game like Papers, Please with this mechanic. I also like the way you implemented the game jam theme.

Unfortunately, I don’t know if it was because I didn’t understand the game correctly or because of a glitch, but I didn’t quite see the effect of the different spin options. I was expecting to see how the news changes or have some visual way to see the effect of each choice, but I only saw the money go down.

I think, as some people have already said, it would be very nice to have a little more time to debug and add a tutorial or some extra help. I would love to come back and try it again if there’s an update in the future.

Thank you very much! ^^ We had a lot of fun coming up with ideas for the theme, so we’re really glad that people liked our approach to it.

Yeah, I could totally see the mouse pad being a struggle jaja. Personally, I hate mouse pads and try to never use them (my mouse pad didn’t even work), so while developing the game it wasn’t something I thought about. Next time, we’ll definitely try to keep that in mind and design/test with different ways of playing.
