Much more fun than actually mowing the lawn
Ok, I played this way to long xD. Very enjoying Gameplay!
this game is quite underrated i think. i like the core gameplay loop and concept a lot. i spent more time in it than maybe i should've lol. i think for notes: i noticed the player controller diagonal movement isn't aligned to the isometric view, so it was quite jarring to move diagonally and not be where you expected, and also the player sprite similarly isn't drawn in the isometric style which adds to that feeling. i think that literally is my only note tho otherwise this is a great game!
Thank you for the feedback!
Glad you enjoyed it :)
This jam is making me become a sucker for incremental games, haha.
The progression mechanic is actually quite interesting as a some upgrades have tradeoffs. A bigger yard might actually reduce the amount of grass you earn as it spreads it out, which makes it harder to burst things. The higher tier grasses offer more but require you to buy damage and spins, making them potentially better but right off the bet, a bit weaker.
The game itself is pretty simple, the art is cute and I love the sfx... Is there no bgm?
I ran out of time for the music. That is a missing element for sure.
Thanks for the feed back! :)
This one was awesome! When I bought the speed and more grass upgrades, it wouldn't let me cut any more grass however. I loved the isometric style, and the pixel art was great! Good work!
Had to come to the comments to figure out I had to push the space bar repeatedly. You could maybe make it clearer in the explanation. Then I got go spinning. I didn't play very far to experience a lot of upgrades but like the design of the grasses and it's a nice looking game!
Really enjoyed the game, took me a few returns to the loading area to see that I could upgrade my mower on that cog icon. I played it for 30+ mins, progression felt a little too slow.
Art was good, it would be nice if the mower was also in a isometric view so they would all match. SFX was very pleasing to hear.
Overall awesome work! I would just recommend making it progress a little bit faster.
It´s a really fun game! It took me a little bit to understand I had to click the space bar multiple times to cut grass instead of just holding it, but when I figured that out I really had fun with it! I really like the art style too. Great job!
I really really enjoyed this too bad the game froze right around here. I couldn't continue, but anyways I really enjoy games like these. For my criticism its like what the other comments pointed out, progression at the start is slow. While I may have stayed and played for quite a while, most probably won't. But incredibly well made and very serious, numbers going up BIG BIG NUMBERS always serious.
Too bad it crashed for you. I do notice a major slow down in the browser version. Oh well, glad you enjoyed it! :)
Thanks for the feedback!
Really enjoyed this! Really nice visuals and fun progressions (if slightly slow at the start). In early game my WASD hand was cramping slightly trying to counteract the spinning of the lawnmower to get the grass but as soon as they no longer need multiple hits it gets into a really nice flow. Very fun time!
Really lovely! I would however recommend that you make the progression faster or of higher acceleration so that voters don't get bored fast ;)
Thanks for the comment, I think I went a bit over board with the progression. :)
