I love your take on the theme—I never would've thought of that. Really fun! Great job!

I like the concept, but I think that you could put some stamina or limit for the use of spin. I only have to hold a few second the left button to build the spin and then rush the level.
The design of the levels are great.
I don't understand why animals drop money and bones. What is it the use of them in the game? (I only play the 2 first levels)
Good game
Thank you for playing!
The bones are for healing, and the coins were supposed to be for some kind of shop, but I ended up not having enough time to implement it. I kept the gold in the loot table because it makes a cool sound when picked up, and it’s also kind of used as a score meter for the end game screen.
Haha! I never thought I will have this much fun when I'm playing the game. This is awesome! Load of action this good boy can make is really a serious matter, I'm sure. You never know how dangerous the dog chasing after its tail is until you play this game. Good stuff, mate!
I got stuck at the stretch part and the dark map doesn't help much. Not sure what I'm missing...
This is some anti-cat propaganda! Jk, great concept and level design!
The stretch mechanic took me a minute because I had to very specifically not press W after reeling myself in lest I cancel it and fall in that first pit.
Also noticed that just staying still and letting the yellow cats attack was not perfect, but fairly foolproof. The green and blue cats did break that up a little bit though.
Nevertheless, solid entry 🐕💫
Cute little game! I love the dog chasing his tail for the spin theme and the levels were decently fun to solve. I did have a little trouble with the stretch mechanic. I think once you confirm the stretch Spwins butt could catch up a lot faster bc sometimes I was sitting there like "did I pull it in?" Other than that though nice job!
Oh cool, we got Cats vs Dogs: Spinning Edition. That’s a fun take on the theme!
Very funny with the dog chasing its tail. I liked the gameplay overall, good job!
really creative use of the theme. it was a little difficult with the stretch mechanic but great job
Huh. I wasn’t really sure how to feel about this game at first, but eventually I found myself continuing to check it out even though I didn’t really know what I was supposed to be accomplishing.
Really love the visual style. The textures are kind of all over the place in terms of detail and resolution, but the simple, blocky level designs are kind of interesting. I like the pickup system with the glowing indicators. It all feels like the kind of thing I’d make as a teen, just playing around with game development or building levels in Hammer or TR5 for fun.
This game would really benefit from a description to help outline the scope of the levels and mechanics. I got to the brick walls and it took me quite a while to realize I could platform over those, and thought maybe I’d seen all there was to see.
Without playing through the whole game, I’d love to know what all kinds of upgrades there are, and if money is used for anything. Really like the checkpoint dog bowls and how spinning faster makes you jump higher.
Thanks for the feedback!
I’ll definitely update the page with more information once the voting period ends, especially to better explain the mechanics, upgrades, money, and general scope of the game.
And yeah, for the levels, I think scope creep got me a bit. I ended up making 3 main levels when I probably should have focused on 2 at most, so the level design, textures, and some models were definitely a bit rushed.
Still, I appreciate you taking the time to play and write detailed feedback!
So creative! Sometimes it feels like the cats can hit you without looking like it, but it wasn't super often tbh. I like the spinning nature of the attacks since it is a funny concept, and hey it works really well :D I did die a few times when I needed to stretch + avoid the cat acid though :(
This is a very well made game especially considering the timeframe! I did not get the ending lol, i was waiting for something heart-warming like someone finally peting the dog :D
The music sometimes was bugged, not playing, and this game really needs a brightness slider. But these are the only negatives i can say as this was one of the best experiences in the jam so far for me. It was refreshing to see something else than a spinning wheel for sure xD
I only want the best for the dog!!
Also really like the animation of the coins falling out of the cats. And I really like how you progress through the game and get more and more pawerful and unlock next regions! Also the environment is really well made, awesome stuff!
The concept of a dog that's chasing its tail and gains speed by doing so is so funny. The graphics are really good, the sewer area maybe should have a bit of global lighting, so some parts aren't pitch black. Really good entry, good job!
