i think this submission has potential! a 3-day game jam is definitely one where you're cramming to get features in and i found myself spending the whole weekend brainstorming and looking to get things functional (being my first ever game jam lol). i think it would help a lot to show what card you're currently playing after you've made your 4 moves and are iterating through them; i was unsure if the cards were being played in order of last-in-first-out or first-in-first-out. i also encountered a few bugs where you can enter in multiple card in quick succession before the other teams have finished adding their card for the turn, which did end up messing with the game and (i think? i am not sure if it is causing an overflow in carrots for my team) causing automatic win condition for me? for a game like this, having an update log record the events of the game (e.g: "Blue moved to Red's field," or "Yellow poisoned Green's field") would also definitely help clear out the ambiguity in how a turn went. overall though, neat prototype and i think it'd be cool to see this concept fully fleshed out!
This was a really interesting gameplay loop but it kind of felt like when I would play hearts on my dad's computer growing up and didn't know what I was doing and would just randomly win sometimes and lose most other times haha. Great job though! I really loved the look of everything!
Oh wow, any sort of comparison of our game and actual card game is a huge compliment (even though it was just confusion, lol), thank you!
Thank you for the feedback! I really liked your game, good luck!
I really like the idea, it's uniqe )
you are right, this game was broken
bugs:
after sometimes i couldn't use the card
the abilities didn't worked for me
only after i refreshed the page when i couldn't use my only 2 left cards somehow the red and yellow bunny got to the blue base.
Thanks for playing our game!
Yeah, we should have explained the game better. After every player plays 4 cards, the game executes all the cards in order of placement. The move card and the kick out cards require input from the player though, so after clicking the button for which field you want to move to, only then does the game proceed to the next cards, and ultimately the next round. Below is a screenshot highlighting the buttons that you can click to choose where to move.
It's definitely still very broken, but I believe mostly the game is just confusing. Apologies for that. Thanks for playing anyway, and leaving helpful feedback!
I'm still confused even after winning a few matches, so extra point for enabling dum-dums like me to win regardless. Pretty unique spin for the jam!
PS: Good luck in the jam and if you have time please rate our game!
Lol, yeah in the end I think the other AI players are probably just as confused as the player. I wish we had a bit more time to give them some amount of strategy, but fixing the game would probably be the first thing we would have done if we had more time.
Thanks so much for playing our game! Good luck to you as well, I really liked your game, and rated it. Great job, it was super unique and fun!
hey, i really lile that u went for uniqe idea, although the game doesnt really work that well (hey it is only a 3 day game jam, so what?) but i really like the concept. extra point for not using ai ofcourse! also can you please give feedback to our game?
Thanks for player our game! Lol, yeah our game is quite broken and confusing unfortunately, but I appreciate that you were able to see the vision beyond the brokenness.
Also, I played, rated, and overall loved your game! You can see my feedback in my comment on your page, but I thought you all did a great job and made a clicker that was genuinely unique feeling!
I am pretty sure I get the idea, so I will rate based on the idea because I'm a nice guy, but the actual game is confusing. Oh yeah sorry if you wanted to call your game carrotalism!
oh wait it was a pretty overused name, sounded like a great name to many ig. I rushed mine to get it out early, and like 2 other games had carrotalism in them
Thanks for playing our game, and I appreciate the rating! Yeah...sorry it was confusing. This game was inspired by the mechanics of the card game "Colt Express", and it's just hard to design it in a way that is intuitive. So we definitely should have spent a bit more time making a tutorial in hindsight.
We actually named the game probably an hour before submitting, so I don't believe carrotalism even came up somehow, but I guess great minds think alike!
👍
Hi , I playes the game an I like the idea, it's one theme. The only thing is I got stuck in the below part:

I've given your game a rating please share some feedback from mine as well.

here is where I got stuck:
Thanks for playing our game! Yeah, unfortunately, there's very few explanation of how to play our game, so it is quite confusing.
From your screenshot, it looks like you played a move card, and the game is waiting for your input of which field to move to. Below, I've edited your screenshot to highlighted the buttons that you can click to choose which field you'd like to move to. This will progress the game through the rest of the cards that were placed in the action list (card pile in the top right corner).
Apologies for the confusion!
