Hey buddy! congrats on actually submitting something in a JAM, its an achievement much bigger than one can say! and also let me tell you, if you are genuinely interested in game dev, never stop participating! let me give you some real guidance here for whatever JAMs you participate in next!
1st - Audio changes lives, believe or not, investing in some good music, infact using some suitable copyright free music make hell of a difference!
2nd - Guidance, another thing i noticed is that humans in general are pretty dummy dumb dumb, you need to show your vision and intent to them at every turn, so be clear when you design a mechanics, tutorials are developers best friend
3rd - predictibility, unless it is a story/plot game, every move going forward should be much predictible, unless the surprize element is there intentionally. In this case, an option to aim the N.A.D.O.s wouldve made the experience much better!
4th - polish, small visual things like the hampter being inside the wheel when it runs or the hampter not being able to walk off the screen seems small changes, but they make a HUGE difference! so polish your games!

I wish you all the best for this jam and the next ones you participate!

Thanks for the advice and feedback!

Yeah I think the game could've done with a ton of polishing, we never dedicated a lot of time to that, but I think we definitely should have. We tried to polish some stuff towards the end but ran out of time. I was worried about having something even worth calling a game (the NADO upgrades were added close to the end lol).

Will make sure to try and polish things as we go from now on :) Thank you for the design tips as well
