For your first week with game dev, it's an interesting prototype. Hope you learn from the feedback and try to "remaster" it after you learn more about the engine and game dev theory.
1. add some eye candy details, maybe particle effects on death, maybe an animation of rotating slowly when pressing left/right
2. program in some actual movement physics - gradually speed up in the direction the player's holding instead of it being so instant, gradually slow down when all buttons are released, add some air resistance and "Sliding" when trying to change direction mid flight. Also gravity possibly?
3. make the assets more consistant - the player model is fine, but everything else is just a black cube. Try to work on that
4. "Music - idk" on the credits screen is unacceptable. The rules clearly state you have to credit everything you didn't create, and saying you don't know where you got the music from is pretty much as offending as lying about it.
But hey, keep it up! If you're young and just starting out your game dev journey - it's still impressive and cool, congratulations on finishing the jam!
sure bro but i srsly dont know, i had the music in my pc for a long time, so when i found it on my pc(by luck) i decided to use it for my a game but if the owner claims the song ill give credit no questions asked but at least its better than lying i created the song ...hmph
Hey no hard feelings, really. It's just about respect and being fair. Rules state you have to credit outside assets, so does the copyright law to be honest. But I really didn't mean no harm and it's nothing personal. Great job on finishing your first game and keep it up, looking forward to any future projects! There's a lot of game jams hosted over the summer, make sure to join a couple more and polish your skills. Good luck!
The visuals and sounds are ok and the difficulty could be improved but good game, and if it is your first then great game!
For your first game this is super impressive! I liked the overall feel of the player character and the kaizo blocks were fun lol. The maps were cleanly designed, overall had a good feel to it. My biggest note would be to have better indicators of death and what killed you - it seemed like I'd get killed somewhat randomly. Sometimes it would happen when I'd get crushed underneath by a block, but sometimes it would happen just by touching one. The collision was a bit janky in this regard.
Still, had fun. Good work!
Pretty good for your first game. Nice job with the jumpscares lol, and good music.

Good job on it being your first game, you did well with the mechanics and some blocks caught me by surprise! Keep going on making more!
Definitely didnt get jumpscared by the speed of sound block that ahnnilated me when I tried to go around the spooky dudes.
As a first game this is super good and encourage you to keep at it and make more and more and more!
Managed to make it to the end. Good implementations of sneaky traps. Like others mentioned, it definitely gives unfair mario vibes. Very good effort for a first game, keep at it!
Great for a first game, keep it up!
ay you started learning this month too! congrats! first month learning club lol.
this is a really solid first game! the tricks and traps were good ideas. i like the music and i like the simplistic art style, you have a lot of potential as a game dev! i'll give you the same level of criticism as i do everyone but just know that it is SO impressive to do all this with just 2 weeks of experience! (also what did you use in terms of tutorials for godot?)
onto criticism, some of this will come from the fact that this is not the typical genre i'd play so take that with a grain of salt.
the flying guy bugs a little on some areas, he glitches into the wall some. thats a minor thing though.
in my opinion a tutorial would be good for this, it's one of those games meant to be a "unfair platformer" type game. i dont think it's entirely clear to the player though initially and it may be good to do a tutorial to introduce the player to some of these unfair mechanics.
i really liked the traps! i think that near the end of the level it's a bit bad to do traps though as a rule of thumb (i'd imagine?)
i think the red saucer things could've been spaced a little more, i didnt have issues with it but i could see some people having issues with the spacing there.
more enemies could be nice
i think defining the minimalist art style a little more could work wonders, like maybe this takes place on a ms paint canvas or maybe this takes place on notebook paper.
overall a really fun play! glad i got to finish it, it's amazing for a first game and you should keep developing!
Nice for a first game! Hope you keep making games!
With some power ups and a bit of polishing it can become a great full game, keep on going :D
The game is like unfair mario. Kinda lik it
The game is pretty nice!
A bit rough around the edges, but for a 2 WEEKS LEARNER, this is insanity. I think you should be really proud, you finished your first jam, and at this rate you will soon be on your way to make incredible things.
This is simple a little bit tricky but a bit of fun, and just as a note, I think there is a graphical bug with your character jittering, which might be due to vsync being turned on or rendering settings being wrong.
Clearly one of the shortest but you did it good with no need of instructions, we see the scene we understand right away that little helicopter head has to progress trough the level using WASD. Keep developping games !
this was simple and fun. Simply enjoyable. Good job
Very fun! i liked the traps
