Super fun puzzler! the graphics and music are great, there was some issues with the web version, so I can't wait for the downloadable version. This game is pretty much feature complete, and could be released as is, I had so much fun with it! The only thing I could possibly want added to the game is to see the cogwheels physically connect with eachother.
Great puzzle game, makes you actually think, and trickles in mechanics well! I think it just needs some more clear visuals for the numbers, as well as an exciting confetti type visual for when we win!
Really clever puzzle game! I like how the simple idea of connecting gears gradually becomes more complex through different gear sizes, obstacles, rotation, and torque.
The presentation is clean, and the visual feedback makes it easy to understand how the signal changes while experimenting with different solutions. I also really like that you included a level editor. That adds a lot of replay value.
I did have trouble launching the game in Chrome because I got this JavaScript error:
Uncaught NotFoundError: Failed to execute 'transaction' on 'IDBDatabase': One of the specified object stores was not found.
However, when I tried the game in Edge, it worked without any issues.
Great job overall! The concept fits the jam theme very well and has a lot of potential for even more levels and mechanics.
This one is really unique, it is probably my favorite puzzle game I've played on this jam by far.
I love how you have to use the different gear sizes in different orders to get a certain RPM.
The game is relatively easy to pick up, but has tons of possibilities to be very difficult.
The only real issue I had was with the UI sometimes clipping other pieces of text/ui and my pick up key not working.
Good game, great work!
Very interesting puzzle game! I had some trouble that most of the times I just accidentally solved it without actually "thinking" about a solution, just putting the cogs, so maybe you can play around a bit more with the difficulty levels, but overall I liked the idea very much. Well done!
WOW, a really good puzzle game! I went for almost the same thing but less simulation and more roguelike. But your combination of actual gear mechanic and puzzle element was really well done. Good job!
It’s a such a great game one of the best puzzle games i’ve played so far. I loved how it made me really think about what I was doing. The music is very well implemented and fits perfectly
WOW! This game is just amazing! Great visuals, great audio, great gameplay and you even have a level editor? Amazing work! There was a small visual bug where espacially the 4x4 gears were not rendering when trying to place in a spot where it could be placed, that is the only thing i could find that wasn't amazing. Please release this!
Nice game! the UI was a bit tricky to understand. I reccommend adding more visuals like showing the cogs on the left side. I was able to go through some levels pretty easily after figuring it out a bit. I like some levels have their own spin to it! and I like how you added a level editor tab for the player to try out different things! Great job!
Very well done, I like the way you went wit this theme, and it reminded me of solving for gear ratios back in the day. Very nice UI too, and the visuals are very responsive.
Very solid!
There was some visual buggyness at the start when going in and out of full screen, but nothing unsolvable with a little refresh of the page.
Once in, I ended up with this game open on my screen for I maybe about an hour going through each level at my own pace and in between doing other things--basically like how I would for other puzzle games I've purchased on steam in the past. I literally forgot I was supposed to rate it during this time, and only remembered about 10 minutes ago. So 5/5. I think the music fades into the background but is not silence, you can forget it's there but it's still putting you in the right mind frame. Visually very clean, I would only make some small changes: a line or box to highlight which row your mouse is hovering on during the level selection(I'm guessing this is more a problem for me with an ultra wide monitor so everything is farther apart) & a label of sorts on the start and end gear which would make that clearer. But this is literally me nitpicking of what last bits could be improved.
This is great, I want more levels, and I'd love to sit down with this on my deck.
Great game! really unique concept- couldnt get past many levels cause im really bad at this stuff- really only my minecraft create mod experience helped me get through what i did.
Cool stuff!
this is a really fun game, its just i didnt really know how to play. my bad :/
i really loved this! gives the "aha" effect GMTK was talking about, didn't quite enjoy the music but pretty well game nonetheless, extra points for löve2d! also a great addition would be to open next level instead of sending the player to the menu
I really enjoyed this puzzle! It was very satisfying when I got it right! :D
Yeah, I don't know how you got this one out in a week, and with a level editor too, but this is insanely well done. I have very little to say that others haven't said already or is super nitpicky- that torque feels redundant when RPM is always an exact target, the UI is beautiful but the text is a bit small in some places, the gears should snap in the middle instead of the top left corner, the tutorial text for each stage disappears too fast, blah blah blah.
This is the first time in any game jam where I've played a game and thought "Yeah, I would buy this if it was a full release". Second 5/5 in all categories I've given out this jam, well done!
This is really fun! Placing and replacing the gears feel really nice too. Great work!
Very cool! Im not sure what the boxes or receivers are supposed to resemble but that's fine. I love how there is quite a few different ways to beat each room, the art style is really simple which is nice but I think there is a lack of sound effects or music. Also the one sound effect I noticed was when the receivers are spinning but its very quiet
Got reminded of when I was learning Willis equations and other cool mechanical stuff. Very good game one of my favourite entries totally not biased ;) plus adding a level editor is a nice touch. Also mad respect for making something this polished and using LÖVE.
Nice puzzle game! I really liked the transitions and visual polish you have. Not sure if I was really understanding the concepts well, but was able to get through most of them with trail and error. I wonder if there's a stronger way to show the general RPM changes as you place things.
