I really love this idea and the unnecessary seriousness to this. I definetly suck at this game right now but am getting better lol. Only thing that could use improvement is how long it takes for the salt shaker to reset and maybe some more polished ui. Otherwise I really liked it!

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Those changes are pretty close to the top of my post-jam to do list, I hope you have a chance to check it out again as I improve it.
Really unique idea! However, I have a few gripes.
- The music doesn't fit the game's objective at all, too serious for something so silly.
- The plates and the shaker are all vigorously shaking all the time, which is rather annoying on the eyes
- The buttons and turntable could have used actual meshes and not be just basic shapes.
- After pressing the blue button, it takes a bit of time holding down the green one until it actually starts to spin the other way which is unsatisfying.
- I'd have liked that instead of being in a gray void we'd be in the inside of a kitchen.
- You have to make the turntable spin really fast for the shaker to gain any meaningful speed, which also makes it much harder to hit your target, either some kind of aiming assistance system would be needed or making the shaker object lighter so that it travels further at slower speeds.
- The user interface could use a face lift from just raw numbers with no styling.
The game's concept is actually really cool, and its satisfying when you do finally hit your target (where you could also add some more effects to make the player feel even cooler when they do). I am sure you are able to tackle all of these changes / additions in the future! Hopefully there will be a post-jam update :)
Thank you for taking the time to play and for so much constructive feedback! I’m definitely planning to update the game after the jam and your notes will be a great help.
I missed my first 20 passes. Still had fun, especially once I got better! The music sets a very serious atmosphere.
For a first-time standalone game, this is a standout!
Thanks for playing! I really appreciate the kind words!
This game is really cool! It is really hard to control but the game was really fun to play. After a couple of tries I was only able to get a score of 3 which I think is pretty good. The music is so serious for no reason, it's very funny. This is a great game! Good job!
thanks for playing, 3 is a great score! Passing salt is a very serious matter.
Keep an eye on the page/devlog after the jam for patches.
Loved Project Helix, btw!
My best score was 2. 🥲 Game is hard though I'm sure the controls can be mastered with enough practice. Maybe it can be formatted into multiple levels? Otherwise, creative use of theme!
thanks for playing! I usually end up with 0, so don’t feel bad 😁.
I’m going to be adding some content and providing some different game modes/difficulty modifiers after the jam. Keep an eye on the page for updates!
Haha this is great!! My high score was only 1 but I love the game. It's very difficult to control (in the best way possible). Would love a sound for the shaker breaking when it hits the ground!
Thank you so much for playing and for the feedback! The breaking shaker sound is a great idea!
I’ve got some updates planned for after the jam, so check back later!
Very creative interpretation of the theme! I was pretty bad at the game though. My best score was 2 (should've been 3 but I barely missed a plate)
I’m pretty sure we’re all bad at it - top score in the comments as of now is only 4 😬
Thanks for the kind feedback!
The main mechanic of the game is super unique and fun! It's fairly challenging as well :D
Thanks for playing and for the kind words!
I had a blast playing this, such a fun game! I found a few spots to release the salt that would usually hit the plate I was aiming for, and I was able to get a score of 4 😁!
Thanks for playing, I’m glad you enjoyed it! That’s gonna be a tough one to beat!
Keep an eye on the page after the jam voting closes, I’m hoping to make a few updates.
I'll definitely stick around after the jam, I have this game saved in my collection!
Awesome!! Higscore: 1!!
It is so cool seeing the improvements that you made to the game, including the spin meter and picking different plates at random. Also, when you make a shot the salt pouring out is great
Following up on RendXY's post about difficulty, I think part of the reason the game feels harder than it is is you have to hit that plate. You might want to consider making the "win area" a bit larger than the plate because there were a few shots I swore I made that didn't count.
Overall congrats on getting it done!
Thanks for coming back! I really appreciate the feedback. I had a lot of fun adding those new features, glad you enjoyed!
I’ll take look at the collision polygons, there’s definitely a chance that either those, or my collision code, is off in some way. Maybe I’ll implement an instant replay system like various sports use and switch to an overhead cam to show the shaker’s path 🤣.
It's probably just a skill issue on my part. But there were a few where I was like "Come on it's right there!"
same. I’ve chucked that salt hundreds of times and still see “Final Score: 0” waaaay more that I should admit. Testing features like the salt particles and target randomization was infuriating at times.
The idea of a player spawnable replay cam that shows the salt clearly missing the plate from like 3 different angles before launching a “Skill Issue” banner just sounds like a fun challenge.
This is a brilliant mechanic, instantly fun - has scope for expansion
Glad you liked it! Thanks for playing.
The music makes passing the salt feel very intense. 5/5 Seriousness :)
It was crucial to convey the gravity of the situation.
thanks for playing!
good work! I think that was a little bit too hard to get it right but sure it was fun to try!
Thanks for playing! I can’t count how many times I’ve bounced salt off a chair or just sent it straight off the end of the table. I’ve got other ideas to improve it, maybe check back after the jam.
Very inventive!
Thanks for playing!
