Really cool Concept!
I mean, I was already bad at the original Tetris, so I'm also pretty bad at this one, but I love it anyway!

Really cool Concept!
I mean, I was already bad at the original Tetris, so I'm also pretty bad at this one, but I love it anyway!
Really unique concept, loved the idea with the theme- to spin the whole board! unfortunately I really suck at tetris, i was literally not able to get one clear T^T but this is a really good game!
Takes a special kind of developer to think of an idea like this! Keep making games :D
Solid entry!
A cool updated version of tetris. The game is quite fun. The addition of power-ups adds a lot more to the game than just 'tetris but the board can spin'. Good visuals and music. Only feedback I have: the game feels kind of slow. I don't know how to fix this, but I think that the main reason for this is the fact that it takes more work/time to create a row than in the original tetris. Other than that: awesome work!
I really like this one, but I think is a little slow to have to wait for the pieces to get into place. Maybe a way to speed the movement by holding a key would speed things up. Excellent job on this one! very creative game mechanic and great usage of the theme
I thought their idea is more of like a button that fast forwards, but thinking about now, that wouldn't really be needed when there's a soft drop and hard drop already like in tetris. Still I am thinking about different difficulty options, possibly highly customizable with like sliders in the settings etc
This is arguably one of the hardest games of Tetris I ever had to play but it was definitely fun and engaging. Having to spin the whole board around made for a lot of opportunities for strategy and it made for a refreshing take on the classic Tetris formula. Great job!
I like it, its a very neat idea! Having to wait to get the blocks in the right places can be a bit tedious though unfortunately. I would love to see a version of this that is more frenetic.
I get what you mean. You can of course soft drop the pieces to speed up the overall gameplay and progression, but it's still overall slower than regular tetris. I'd love for it to be more dynamic and difficult, but that would be tough to balance. I'll keep working on spintrees after the jam and maybe I'll figure something out. Difficulty settings are definitely on my to-do list.
this game is cool and creative!, it’s tetris with spin gravity and also shop feature… smart game & great job! 🙂🔥
I am back, and... I forgot to check my new highscore.. shit..
Well I atleast gave it more time, got some upgrades, the nuke. BUT there's one thing that made me not want to continue playing, that being, the longer you play, the fast the block moved. Probably intended for it to be a challenge, but I actually enjoyed the a little slower speed, so I had time to think. It was relaxing, at the end it got a little stressful.
Would be awesome if you added an option for it atleast :)
I really like it, I could see it becoming a mobile game too
Wow, this version of Tetris is just so cool, I cant believe how much brain power it took and locked me totally in! Thanks SO much for hanging with us on the stream!! you ROCK!!
Very cool take on Tetris. I'm terrible at Tetris and even worse at this, but I still had fun with it. It was so satisfying when I finally got a couple of clears :)
One thing that I like is that you can kind of stall pieces in the middle if you time your flips right, to give you time to consider where to put the pieces (or to correct for a bad move so long as the piece hasn't stuck down yet), which for me did a lot to balance out the increase in difficulty over regular Tetris. The rogue-lite elements also seem like they would add a lot in a longer game; for now all I bought was implode, and it already seemed super useful. One piece of UI feedback is that I feel like it would be nice to have the numbers written next to the ability names as a quick reference.
Other than that, no real notes from me. This was really well put together, and a lot of fine. Kudos!
very fun! i like how you can change everything with one button so many strategies
I love Tetris, so for me, this game was really amazing!!! I liked how the spinning mechanic turned out!! Great job!!!
I don't really like Tetris, but I thought this was pretty fun. I think I ran into a couple of bugs where I think I rotated while activating the crusher and the board rotating at the same time, but the crusher (or at least the sprite) didn't rotate along. There was also one where I rotated while the piece was just about to land and I think it got stuck until I rotated again. I do agree with some of the other comments about the game being a little slow, but I'm not too sure what you could do about that besides adding more elements that the player can interact with. From what I've seen, Tetris is a test of endurance anyway. Overall, pretty solid spin on Tetris and I do think the powerups add some interesting mechanics.
It surprised me to see a tetris game here, I love it so much!
good job on finishing your game!
An excellent new take on Tetris! At first I was sceptical of how well it would work, but having played it, it really does work! There's plenty of strategy and skill to be learnt, which makes it all the more addictive. The idea of power-ups is also very cool
My only critique would be the music... The spin SFX is alright, but I personally found the clicks and booms of the music, and the beeps in the shop a little annoying. That said, kudos to you for giving it a go and making it all yourself! I also appreciate you including granular settings, so I could disable it!!
Oh and the credit cheat was great! Often when reviewing I'm torn between wanting to fully experience every part of the game, but not wanting to spend ages trying to complete it. So I really appreciated the option to quickly enable everything for testing :D
Good work!
Hey I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! I tried to make it as accessible as possible, hence the cheat code, sound and visual settings. I myself hate the music as well but it was still fun to try to put something together without any music theory knowledge or experience with apps for making music. Nice to see someone notice that all assets are handmade by a solo dev that tried his best. Thanks!
The concept is really good! I had a lot of fun rotating the whole screen to find the best way to clear lines. It's such a fun twist on Tetris, and it made the gameplay feel really fresh.
